As an Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class B), you will perform essential fuel tank maintenance, including preventive maintenance and alterations in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols. This is a hands-on position requiring experience, technical skill, and a solid understanding of aircraft maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft fuel tank maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance and alterations, according to maintenance manuals and customer requirements.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in an orderly and timely manner, meeting all FAR Part 145 and FAR Part 43 regulations.
- Use and maintain test equipment and tools to ensure airworthiness determinations are accurately made.
- Properly record work performed on maintenance records and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Request necessary stock or materials for work being performed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety practices and company policies.
- Report any unsafe conditions or practices that may lead to inefficiency, injury, or un-airworthy conditions.
- Work effectively in confined spaces, often requiring a flexible schedule and adaptability to challenging work environments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience, preferably in fuel system maintenance.
- Basic knowledge, experience, and/or training to perform assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with the company’s Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and subsequent revisions.
- Ability to comprehend and perform fuel system aircraft maintenance.
- Must be able to work in small areas and confined spaces.
- This position is non-supervisory, and the technician will not be authorized to sign off on maintenance releases.
Required Experience
- 2-4 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with a focus on fuel system maintenance.
