STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Trainers in Oscoda, Michigan.
Position Purpose:
The Maintenance Trainer provides instruction in the following assigned subject / topic areas: General Topics, Safety and OSHA related subjects, Company Policies & Procedures, Airframe Systems, Powerplant Systems, and Avionics Systems.
Essential Duties:
- Develop courses with instructional designers using the standardized course development process
- Provide feedback to instructional designers and e-learning developers to help ensure the training course materials are current and updated
- Is fully prepared (course materials, dress, etc..) to teach all assigned / scheduled classes
- Ensure computerized training data (presentations, student handouts, etc.. ) are most current department standard and used for class.
- Utilize a variety of training methodologies for presentation and delivery
- Complete all training documents accurately and with attention to detail
- Submit student evaluations; student/attendance forms; tracking and information forms, informal assessments, and other required student related documents for 100% of assigned students in accordance with directed timeline requirements.
- Complete and submit 100% of staff-related forms (timesheets, professional development forms, materials/supplies tracking forms, expense reports, and other required staff-related documents) in accordance with directed timeline requirements.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of and adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations
- Keep immediate supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts, problems identified/potential problems, etc.; recommend corrective actions to immediate supervisor
- Respect confidentiality in discussing staff, students and company matters; also maintain confidentiality of personnel related information
- Notify training supervisor of any and all support services that students may need
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Training Project Supervisor or maintenance training management
Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Must be a high school graduate; prior aviation training background experience preferred.
- Airframe and or Powerplant mechanic’s certification required.
- Must have excellent oral and written skill and comprehension.
- Must have ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff
