Hiring Assemblers for DRS Naval Power Systems in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin

Position Summary:

STS Technical Services is seeking skilled Assemblers to join our team in Danbury, Connecticut. This role involves advanced-level assembly functions for various cutting-edge technologies, ensuring high-quality production to meet customer commitments.

What You Will Do:

  • Produce quality work to prescribed standards, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Follow written work instructions.
  • Demonstrate good decision-making ability as a self-starter.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures, including those governing the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS).
  • Periodically assist in orienting and training new employees.
  • Participate in LEAN Events, “Six S” activities, action teams, etc.
  • Perform advanced-level assembly functions, including prep, mechanical, harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings within Production.
  • Perform soldering and installation of components to contract specifications using a wide range of tools and equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, Process Flow Instructions, and other written or verbal instructions.
  • Work with Engineering to build 1st articles by interpreting print/specification with no process provided and the ability to interpret/assemble all units in the department.
  • Perform all aspects of inspection if required: in-process, final, and source.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with wiring and crimping to precise specifications.
  • Must be a US citizen and meet security standards imposed by the Department of Defense, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
