Job Summary:

The HDFS Director of Digital Growth is responsible for the overall digital strategy and execution for consumer digital experience and digital growth activities for Harley-Davidson Financial Services. This thought leadership role champions the use of data and technology solutions to transform the customers’ digital ecosystem laddering up to the overall HDI strategies. With the customer lens at the top of mind, the Director of Digital Growth will lead key digital initiatives and oversee execution & delivery to ultimately create added revenue for the enterprise. The individual in this role must have a significant understanding of indirect lending including dealer operations, F&I processes, and products as well as a mastery of credit risk and underwriting procedures.  Additionally, this role requires a deep technical understanding of transactional financial services digital experiences and a mastery-level understanding of paid and organic traffic drivers to ensure discoverability (organic & paid search, programmatic display, email, paid social, etc.). This individual will also partner with key internal stakeholders such as Risk, Sales, Finance, IT and Digital teams on all digital efforts with a focus on maintaining and optimizing the HDFS digital experience in-line with organizational goals and established strategic vision. The ideal candidate will possess both financial services and powersports (or automotive) category experience within the digital space and works in a collaborative and highly matrixed environment to ensure ongoing stability and continuous improvement of HDFS’ digital experiences and campaigns. The underlying goal of this body of work is to create a first-in-class digital customer experience, drive incremental revenue, and increase customer retention.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creation and execution of the customer-facing digital vision for HDFS, including defining and managing to the roadmap for digital capabilities and strategic priorities.
  • Champion and change agent for the evolution of HDFS’ digital transformation and evolution of financial services digital capabilities.
  • Communicates digital growth progress to all key internal stakeholders on a regular basis and partners closely with sales teams to effectively communicate change to dealer partners. Conducts research and development on emerging fintech trends and executes test & learn efforts to determine the viability of new digital capabilities.
  • Advances HDFS digital strategy horizontally across HDFS, while working vertically with departments to grow overall organizational digital expertise – providing counsel, thought leadership, assisting in build-out plans,
  • Establishes key goals, objectives, and metrics for digital initiatives and closely tracks (and acts on) performance data of team by pivoting / optimizing as needed driving tangible growth results.
  • Ensures that the digital experience is consistent across all products and/or services.
  • Manages vendors and agency partners in the delivery and continuous optimization of the digital experience as well as growth initiatives that directly drive revenue and help deliver on sales goals.
  • Partners closely with the marketing team on the execution of digital marketing campaigns, including providing results reporting tied back to set Key Performance Indicators with key stakeholders.
  • Manages agency partners in the delivery and continuous optimization of paid digital media efforts (on-line advertising, search engine marketing, social, email, etc.) that directly drive revenue and help deliver on sales goals.
  • Partners with IT and HDI digital leaders to drive persistent change with the HDFS online credit application, online loan account servicing portal, and H-D #1 Marketplace. Included in scope is the identification and prioritization of features within the annual budget, communication from concept through execution with vendors ultimately leading to successful product launches.
  • Responsible for ensuring digital experience compliance within highly regulated financial services industry, working with legal and compliance, trademark, and other stakeholders to ensure HDFS’ ongoing compliance within the boundaries of the law.
  • Responsible for managing budgets, working with procurement and digital partners to output Statement of Work documents, and processing vendor invoices as applicable.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

Education Specifications:

  • Master’s Degree Preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years related experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of management experience.
  • Ten or more years of related experience with a strong emphasis on strategy development, technology management and/or product development within the financial services industry. Experience with automotive and/or powersports dealer or agent networks
  • Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
  • Deep understanding of the evolving digital world on both the demand side (how people/companies are using technology) and the supply side (emerging technologies).
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking and consulting skills.
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills with proven results working collaboratively across an organization to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Ability to effectively drive people, process, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively work under tight deadlines with high tolerance for ambiguity and change.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
