EHS Managers

STS Technical Services is hiring EHS Managers in Macon, Georgia.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Champion company’s values and safety culture through personal actions and coaching employees and leaders
• Lead and develop team members
• Record, track and manage departmental spending (Purchase Orders for PPE, Monitoring equipment, Services, etc.)
• Develop, implement, maintain and oversee compliance and continuous improvement efforts for programs, policies and processes, related to:
• Environmental standards, including: Waste Management, including Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste Stream, Air Quality, Storm and Wastewater
•  Applicable OSHA standards and
• Emergency Action and Incident Management
• Oversee and ensure accurate record keeping related to all responsibilities, including environmental programs, safety programs and training
• Generate, file, distribute and communicate regulatory and managerial reports related to all areas of responsibilities to ensure compliance and inform stakeholders
• Develop and deliver all required EHS training programs at all levels of the operation
• Assess, verify, monitor, and document competencies related to required EHS training
• Ensure appropriate inventory levels for PPE are maintained and issued where needed
• Conduct Internal EHS Audits and issue Corrective/Preventive Actions for non-conformance to EHS Management Systems requirements as needed and partner with plant leaders to develop solutions
• Maintain the EHS Management Systems requirements to include EHS Records, EHS Documentation and all procedures and work instructions
• Administer Workers Compensation program, including case management

• Safety:  Zero accidents
• EHS Training
• Water/Waste Water Compliance
• EHS Budget attainment

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Environmental, Health and/or Safety disciplines or equivalent years’ experience as EHS Specialist
• Seven years of EHS experience in an industrial environment
• Three years of experience at a department manager level, inclusive of leading direct or indirect team members and expense/vendor management
• Superior communication skills to effectively establish positive relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization
• Familiarity with continuous improvement process such as TPS a plus
• Ability to thrive in a multiple culture / multi-lingual environment
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Proven ability to write policies and procedures
• Demonstrated success in developing and effectively presenting training material
