Financial Accounting Managers

STS Technical Services is hiring Financial Accounting Managers in Savannah, Georgia.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced upper-level management accountant to fill the role of Financial Accounting Manager.? This is an onsite position in the Savannah, GA area.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure the month-end and year-end closings are completed in compliance with the Closing Schedule
• Provide timely accounting information to our external auditors allowing for the timely completion of the annual audit
• Have regular meaningful conversations with department managers regarding the financial performance of their departments
• Perform other special projects as assigned by the Controller
• Analyze various GL accounts monthly for accuracy and completeness
• Assure all Balance Sheet Account reconciliations are performed timely
• Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas for improvement
• Participate in budgeting (for departments and projects)
• Maintain PP&E accounting records
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information

Requirements & Skills:

• Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Accountant
• Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to present financial information using detailed reports charts
• Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
• Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
• Master’s degree in accounting with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in public accounting
• CPA or CMA designation preferred
