STS Technical Services is hiring JCCF Coordinators in Long Island City, New York. 

Job Summary:

Our client’s Crewmember Crisis Fund is a non-profit charity that provides emergency financial assistance to Crewmembers. This temporary position will provide support in handling data for grants management. This role requires data entry experience as well as customer service and charitable/non-profit understanding. Confidentiality and project management is key.

Duties & Responsibilities:                            

  • Grant application retrieval and processing for assignment.
  • Assist with departmental projects, working with Committees, Executive Director or independent.
  • Provide assistance and information to inquiring Crewmembers or leadership
  • Use critical thinking skills with presented situations to determine preliminary eligibility
  • Assist in the records maintenance and creating reports as needed
  • Assist in maintaining the timelines of grant processing, increase efficiency and moreover improve employee satisfaction with the JCCF

Nature / Scope:

  • Position reports to the Executive Director and Manager of JCCF
  • Requires technical understanding of a project work

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Two (2) years administrative / bookkeeping experience / non-profit experience; management, administration and /or development
  • Regular attendance is required
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit, that is, exhibit our client’s values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
  • Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Ability to approach problems systematically, researching all alternatives and making appropriate recommendations
  • Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences
  • Ability to maintain composure and productivity in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • PC skills, database knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and the Internet
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence without authority while maintaining confidentiality
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results: self-starter and self-directed
  • Sound business judgment and strong decision-making skills/problem-solving skills
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Work well under pressure and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with proficiency in handling multiple tasks at once
