STS Technical Services is hiring Manufacturing Engineers in West Point, Mississippi.

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes within a production facility. This individual ensures maximum operational efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, streamlining workflow, and refining assembly methods. They are responsible for determining the necessary equipment, parts, and tools to meet manufacturing objectives based on specific product requirements. Additionally, they create detailed assembly instructions, provide essential floor support, and collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders. A background in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, coupled with experience in automotive assembly and proficiency in relevant software tools, is essential for success in this role.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain illustrated assembly instructions.
  • Provide floor support for Manufacturing as needed.
  • Lead and participate in the implementation of Lean Six Sigma and ISO Standard tools within assembly processes.
  • Interact with various stakeholders including Production Employees, Supervisors, Quality Acceptance, Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Suppliers, Consultants, Contractors, Customers, other departments, and the Government.
  • Strongly support AMG BOS & MOS.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
  • 2-5 years of experience in automotive assembly.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, illustrating, and experience with Unigraphics or a similar 3D CAD program.
  • Familiarity with SAP, PLM++, UGNX, and Team Center (Shared files) for creating Assembly Instructions.
  • Competence in MS Office products.
  • High initiative, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, customer service, and multitasking capabilities.
