STS Aviation Services is hiring Resource Coordinators in Abbots Park, Preston Brook Runcorn Cheshire, United Kingdom.

Position Summary:

Are you an experienced Resource Co-ordinator, from an Aerospace background, looking for a challenging and rewarding post where you will be part of the team driving operational excellence and performance?

STS Aviation Services is a leading MRO provider. We have an opportunity for a Planner to join our Base Maintenance Team focussed in delivering Aircraft and Engine related Services to its growing Customer base. This position is a full time, permanent position located at our Preston Brook office in Runcorn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain oversight of the resource picture across the STS UK network, to include Base and Line Maintenance, and AOG Team, ensuring sufficient resource levels to meet the demands at each location.
  • Working with the respective Base and Line Managers control holiday and overtime for all permanent staff whilst ensuring the maintenance demand is met.
  • Identify the need for contract staff whenever required and manage the commencement and cessation of employment.
  • Maintain budgetary control for overtime and contractors.
  • In conjunction with the relevant Base/Line Managers develop shift patterns to meet requirements
  • In conjunction with the Head of Base Maintenance, Head of Line Maintenance and Check Managers, and MOC Manager regularly forward load available staff to the relevant aircraft inputs to ensure the correct levels of resource and provide maximum continuity in order to make the best use of the resource.
  • Manage the transfer of personnel between Birmingham, E7, NQY and all outstations to ensure the most cost-effective use of resource within the network
  • On a daily basis ensure that all rostered staff can be accounted for and have booked (where applicable) to ensure that chargeable hours are captured.
  • Challenge chargeable vs non chargeable performance at each location and at check level.
  • Oversee the resourcing of AOG Detachments
  • Endeavour to supply, at short notice, manpower to Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) in AOG and emergency situations.
  • In conjunction with the Base Maintenance and Line Maintenance Team, ensure all mandatory and recurrent training is carried out in a timely manner and at such times as to have the least impact on the maintenance program.
  • Undertake Project work as specified by the MOC Manager, Head of Base Maintenance, Head of Line Maintenance and Director of Operations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of reporting tools, i.e. Excel, Word, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Able to hold effective business meetings.

Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years in the Aerospace/Engineering/Manufacturing/Construction sectors preferred.
  • Previous experience in a P145 Planning/Resource Management environment preferred
  • Good understanding of the P145 Regulations, company MOE, and company procedures, especially around resource and resource control.
