STS Technical Services is hiring Sales Engineers in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
The Sales Engineer bridges the gap between sales and engineering, utilizing technical expertise to support sales efforts and drive the company’s growth. This role involves understanding client needs, offering solutions tailored to those needs using the company’s products, and ensuring the technical aspects are aligned with sales objectives. The Sales Engineer should be adept at forming lasting relationships with clients, understanding the technical intricacies of the company’s products, and conveying these details in a comprehensible manner to a non-technical audience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and offer technical solutions that align with the company’s product offerings.
- Develop and deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value and benefits of the company’s solutions.
- Translate complex technical details into clear and understandable solutions for customers.
- Provide feedback to the product and engineering teams based on customer requirements and market demands.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals and quotes to clients, ensuring all technical aspects are addressed.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, competitors, and the company’s product developments.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other events to represent the company and its products.
- Work closely with the after-sales support team to ensure customer satisfaction and address any technical issues or concerns.
- Conduct training sessions for clients to ensure they understand and can effectively utilize the company’s products.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of the company’s products and the ability to convey technical details in an understandable manner.
- Customer-Oriented: Prioritize customer needs and offer solutions that provide value.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Skillfully gather and analyze information to offer solutions that address customer challenges.
- Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with sales, engineering, and support teams to deliver holistic solutions to clients.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and the company’s evolving product line.
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2-3 years in a sales engineering or technical sales role.
- Language Ability: Ability to read, interpret, and draft technical documentation. Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
- Reasoning Ability: Strong analytical skills with the capability to determine customer needs and align them with the company’s offerings.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in CRM tools, presentation software, and familiarity with technical product specifications.
- Other Skills: Strong networking skills, with the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
