Storeroom Attendants Direct Hire

Right now, ARAUCO is hiring Storeroom Attendants in Grayling, Michigan!

Primary Purpose:

Provide Storeroom support to Operations, Maintenance, and Finance to ensure that all required materials are available when needed, properly identified/stored, and tracked using the designated systems.

Description of Essential Duties:

  • Maintain the security, cleanliness and organization of the storeroom at all times
  • Daily receipt of storeroom and non-stock items in accordance with company procedures
  • Gather and label received items that are associated with work orders and put in work order area
  • Set up new item locations in the prescribed computerized maintenance management system
  • Perform cycle counts according to the established schedule for all storeroom items
  • Support training to others on the use of various aspects of the CMMS as required
  • Participate in the development and documentation of area procedures (SOP’s) to increase the efficiencies and effectiveness of the Purchasing/Stores area
  • Responsible for MSDS and HAZMAT requirements as they pertain to this role
  • Participate in the development of safety SOP’s for this area
  • Support projects and process improvements in your area
  • Resolve any safety issues identified in Storeroom
  • Support mill safety programs (Laser, confined space, Hot works, etc.) identified to maintain a high level of safety awareness in the mill
  • Provide administrative support concerning related area as needed
  • Participates in maintenance meetings as required to follow-up on stores items used and required for reorder
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing UPS shipments
  • Perform/monitor all storeroom transactions, assuring timeliness and accuracy of all transactions
  • Run daily, monthly, and other reports as required
  • Pick up and deliver additional parts as needed
  • Set up new item locations in the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
  • Perform weekly cycle counts for all storeroom items
  • Perform accounting month-end preparation tasks as they relate to the area
  • Liaison with Finance to support their needs
  • Responsible for the movement of company assets and surplus goods on and off site
  • Owns rebuy for stocked storeroom items
  • Cover extended or irregular hours as required to support down days, shutdowns, breakdowns, etc.
  • Support the maintenance workforce to respond to breakdowns or mill upset conditions (as required)
  • Supports and promoted the ARAUCO Asset Reliability Process (ARP)
  • Strive for best value for the business in all goods, services, and transportation transactions
  • Support the crew to resolve process related issues and during process upset conditions
  • Provide coaching to others on area expectations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Work staggering shifts/times, required
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules and addition time if required
  • Good communications skills both verbal and written
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • Materials Storeroom experience preferred
  • Forklift certified or ability to become certified, required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows required
  • Familiarity of the basic functions of computerized maintenance management systems preferred
  • Must work well with other employees

  • Works actively to maintain housekeeping responsibilities for Storeroom area and any satellite Stores areas
  • Be aware of all personnel working in or visiting the Storeroom area
