Support Supervisors

STS Technical Services is hiring Support Supervisors in Cedar Hill, Texas. 

Position Overview:

The Support Supervisor is responsible to the Repair Station Manager for the management of the Support departments for the repair station.

Duties & Responsibilities:                            

• Paint shop, Stockroom, Machine Shop, Purchasing Coordinator, Shipping/Receiving
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Executes preplanned repair operations for work orders, establish priorities and sequencing within assigned departments for working components.
• Executes operational schedules and coordinate shop activities to ensure processes and quality of products meet delivery schedules..
• Coordinate with supporting departments to implement methods and improvements.
• Develop the human resources within responsibility area to achieve departmental goals.
• Perform personnel evaluations within responsible areas.
• Training and assisting subordinates in the proper work procedures and practices to be followed. Provide guidance to personnel on technical development, performance and shop issues.
• Maintaining all work areas and shop equipment and tools in a serviceable working condition, assuring that periodic checks and calibrations are made on special tools and test equipment, and that current records are maintained of those tests and calibrations.
• Ascertaining that all necessary production entries on work orders used by the Repair Station are properly executed by the responsible mechanics.
• Initiating purchase requisitions for stock as required.
• Assuring that the personnel in the Repair Department do quality work.
• Indoctrinates the personnel in observing the safety precautions relevant to the functions for which they may be utilized.
• Assuring the proper handling of all parts while in the Repair process and when work is completed.
• Maintaining the preservation of all units or parts during the work process, installation and storage.
• Updates and maintains the internal tracking system, (i.e. ARS, DAS Software package)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have or be familiar with aircraft repair processes
• Maintain a clean neat appearance as suited for office personal with proper attire.
• Able to demonstrate problem solving and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to effectively type for composing text, emails and other related forms of communication using computers.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be familiar with Microsoft word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
• Must have good interpersonal skills, detail orientated, dependable, organized, and able to function in a fast pace environment
• High school equivalency
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
