Product Specialists

STS Technical Services is hiring Product Specialists in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Position Purpose:

Support both internal & external sales with product information pertaining to pumper body product.  Be responsible for all pumper body product-related information for specifications and proposals in the sales order configurator.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

• Develop proficiency with the sales order configurator to support sales force.
• Process daily requests for special pumper body components
• Create new sales order configurator components that expand the product offering which include pricing, labor requirements and text that are well defined and accurate. Assist with product definition and option pricing, as needed.
• Develop and publish product updates related to changes in our product offerings.
• Communicate and coordinate with the Product Manager all items, which would be considered product improvements, enhancements and obsolescence.
• Participate in various training programs such as, mini sales school, sales meetings and internal sales and product training, as required.
• Carry out special assignments and projects that fall within the scope of this description. Maintain open communication with the Sales Department, Product Manager, and appropriate personnel reporting on all developments and concerns.
• Host customer dinners
• Participate in trade shows and seminars, as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to work with product data and communicate conclusions to internal departments.
• Intermediate Excel spreadsheet and Microsoft Word skills.
• Ability to prioritize and provide consistent attention to detail. Must be able to work in a deadline oriented environment.
• Self-starting team- player who works well alone or in group dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within the fire truck industry.
