STS Technical Services is hiring Quality Inspectors in Brookfield, Wisconsin to support Cutting Edge Fabrication, a growing metal fabrication company specializing in medium to large complex weldments. With a new leadership team and strong roots in the Midwest, this company is investing in quality, safety, and continuous improvement—and we’re looking for someone ready to do the same.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify raw material compliance and traceability
  • Interpret and apply AWS and ASME welding codes to inspect welds and assemblies
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to engineering drawings and GD&T specifications
  • Ensure all products meet or exceed customer expectations for fit, form, and function
  • Report and document quality issues to management
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve inspection findings
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and follow company quality procedures
  • Support the company’s culture of continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in weld inspection to AWS and ASME codes
  • Strong blueprint reading skills, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Comfortable using measurement tools and gauges
  • Strong math skills, including geometry and trigonometry
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
