Reliability Engineer Jobs in Monterrey, Mexico

STS Technical Services is seeking an Engineer II to support fleet reliability and configuration control for a commercial airline operation in Monterrey, Mexico.

This role is where data meets reality. You will analyze failures, track trends, and make sure configuration data actually reflects what is flying. If something breaks twice, you are expected to know why. If documentation is wrong, you fix it.

This is a technical role with operational consequences. Accuracy matters. Speed matters more when aircraft are down.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze aircraft, component, and system reliability issues to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead or support reliability improvement initiatives to reduce delays, cancellations, and out-of-service events
  • Track and report on reliability program performance, including effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, vendors, and lessors to support analysis, compliance, and execution
  • Develop, modify, and maintain engineering documentation, including:
    • Engineering Authorizations
    • Engineering Orders
    • Fleet Configuration Documents
    • Engineering specifications and drawings
    • Publication Change Requests
  • Conduct technical research using IPCs, ADs, SBs, and other regulatory and engineering data
  • Maintain and update configuration control systems, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies
  • Interpret 14 CFR regulatory requirements and ensure compliance across engineering activities
  • Support Aircraft on Ground events with technical troubleshooting and analysis
  • Assist maintenance teams with aircraft data retrieval and technical guidance
  • Ensure traceability and documentation accuracy for aircraft components and configurations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across engineering processes, data integrity, and documentation quality

Additional Responsibilities

  • Update and manage configuration data within engineering systems such as FMIS
  • Create and track Service Bulletin implementation items
  • Review parts pool and repair instruction documentation
  • Generate requisitions and engineering documentation to support operational and compliance needs

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Technology, or related field preferred
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License may be considered in lieu of degree with relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Part 121 airline Technical Services, Engineering, or Maintenance environment
  • Prior airline experience strongly preferred

Technical Expertise

  • Working knowledge of 14 CFR regulations
  • Experience with Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
  • Understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and configuration control
  • Experience with engineering and maintenance systems such as FMIS or similar platforms
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and regulatory documentation

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical writing capability
  • High attention to detail and organizational discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment

  • Office-based or remote flexibility depending on operational needs
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Ability to support extended hours or weekends during operational events

Why This Role

  • Direct impact on fleet reliability and operational performance
  • Exposure to cross-functional airline operations and engineering teams
  • Opportunity to grow into senior engineering or leadership roles
  • Strong mix of technical analysis, compliance, and real-world operational support
