STS Technical Services is hiring Cut Shop / Utility Workers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This is a full-time opportunity for dependable manufacturing professionals with forklift experience, basic inventory knowledge, and the ability to use hand and power tools safely.
The Cut Shop / Utility Worker will support the production team by helping manufacture small parts, moving materials, assisting with inventory, and contributing to shipping and receiving activities as needed.
Position Details
Job Title: Cut Shop / Utility Worker
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Full Time
Regular Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Summer Hours: Memorial Day through Labor Day
- Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Hiring Note: Candidates must currently be authorized to work in the United States.
Position Overview
The Cut Shop / Utility Worker will assist with the production of small parts used in structural fabrication projects.
This role involves operating a forklift, using hand and power tools, measuring materials, following basic inventory instructions, and supporting the movement of materials throughout the shop. Candidates should be comfortable working as part of a team and willing to learn how to read and interpret blueprints.
Responsibilities
- Assist the cut shop with the production of small parts and components
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Operate a forklift to move materials, parts, and equipment
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed
- Follow basic inventory instructions and assist with material tracking
- Measure materials accurately using a tape measure
- Read and follow basic blueprints or learn how to interpret them
- Move, organize, and stage materials for production
- Work closely with team members to support daily production goals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow established manufacturing procedures and safety requirements
- Complete additional utility and production support tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift experience
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Ability to follow inventory instructions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn how to read and interpret blueprints
- Shipping or receiving experience is a plus
