STS Engineering Solutions is hiring multiple Aircraft Records Specialists for remote 1099 contract opportunities supporting aircraft records projects across a range of aviation operations.

These positions support aircraft and powerplant inductions, conformity checks, configuration reviews, in-service monitoring, lease returns and aircraft sales. The work requires experienced aircraft records professionals who can independently process, audit and maintain complex maintenance documentation while meeting regulatory, company and client requirements.

Position Overview

The Aircraft Records Specialist supports regulatory and company compliance requirements related to the retention and maintenance of aircraft, engine and component records.

This position performs aircraft records processing, auditing and data management in support of fleet transactions and ongoing aircraft operations. Projects may involve aircraft and powerplant inductions, conformity and configuration reviews, in-service monitoring, lease returns and aircraft sales.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently in a remote environment while also collaborating effectively with project teams and prioritizing responsibilities to meet contractual deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Update maintenance task requirements, component records and time-controlled records in TRAX, eMRO, IFS Maintenix, Traxall, AMOS or equivalent applications
  • Maintain aircraft records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
  • Process removal and installation transactions for aircraft components and assemblies
  • Audit digital component and maintenance records in support of aircraft and powerplant transactions
  • Support aircraft and powerplant inductions through records review
  • Support aircraft lease return and sale transactions
  • Verify aircraft records for compliance with company, OEM and regulatory requirements
  • Audit line maintenance work packages
  • Audit base maintenance work packages
  • Maintain aircraft and engine logbooks
  • Perform aircraft records data entry and filing
  • Scan and index paper documents for electronic storage
  • Audit documentation within digital records repositories such as FlyDocs and AirVault
  • Identify and correct aircraft records documentation errors
  • Run required aircraft records and maintenance reports
  • Support additional aircraft records responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of experience processing and auditing aircraft records within an aviation information management application
  • Experience with systems such as AMOS, eMRO, TRAX, SCEPTRE, IFS Maintenix, Traxall, PMI, STC or similar platforms
  • Ability to successfully complete required drug testing
  • Ability to successfully complete a 10-year background check
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with keyboarding and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using web-based applications
  • Experience filing electronic documents using SharePoint, shared network drives or similar systems
  • Ability to understand and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to maintain high standards for both quality and productivity
  • Willingness to comply with non-disclosure agreements and confidentiality policies
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for up to 10 hours per day

Preferred Qualifications

  • AMOS maintenance tracking software experience
  • TRAX maintenance tracking software experience
  • Higher education degree, preferably in an aviation-related field
  • Experience with the induction of new or used aircraft or engines
  • Experience performing aircraft or engine records reviews
  • Experience developing conformity packages for submission to the FAA or equivalent regulatory authority
  • Experience assembling aircraft or engine lease return records
  • Experience auditing aircraft or engine lease return records
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing aircraft records retention and maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat DC or equivalent software
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams
  • Experience using OneDrive
