STS Technical Services is hiring an Airline Tooling Specialist in Denver, Colorado, to support aircraft maintenance tooling operations at Denver International Airport.
This is a 3- to 4-month contract assignment working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position may offer an opportunity for direct employment based on performance, business needs and client requirements.

Position Overview
The Airline Tooling Specialist supports aircraft maintenance operations by maintaining, organizing, issuing, receiving, inspecting and tracking tools and equipment.
This position plays an important role in tool accountability, inventory accuracy and calibration tracking while ensuring maintenance personnel have access to the equipment required to support safe and efficient aircraft maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Issue aircraft maintenance tools and equipment to maintenance personnel
- Receive returned tools and equipment
- Maintain accurate tooling and inventory records
- Inspect returned tools for condition, damage, cleanliness and completeness
- Identify missing, damaged or unserviceable tools
- Initiate required reporting and replacement processes
- Maintain organization and accountability within tool rooms and designated storage areas
- Verify tool identification and serial numbers
- Confirm inventory records are accurate
- Support aircraft maintenance tool control procedures
- Assist with calibration tracking
- Verify calibrated tools are properly identified and available for use
- Monitor calibration due dates
- Coordinate removal and replacement of tools requiring calibration
- Assist maintenance personnel with locating required tools and equipment
- Perform periodic inventory counts
- Reconcile tooling and inventory discrepancies
- Maintain documentation for tool issuance and returns
- Maintain calibration records
- Document damaged or missing equipment
- Support periodic and wall-to-wall inventory audits
- Follow airline, FAA, OSHA and company safety procedures
- Follow established tool-control procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Work closely with aircraft maintenance personnel, supervisors and support departments
- Perform additional tooling and inventory duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to accurately track and maintain inventory records
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to learn inventory and tool-tracking software
- Ability to read and understand tool identification and serial numbers
- Ability to interpret equipment documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced airline maintenance environment
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in aircraft maintenance, airline, MRO, tool room, warehouse or inventory operations
- Familiarity with aircraft maintenance tools and equipment
- Previous experience supporting Part 121 airline maintenance operations
- Aircraft tool room or tooling experience
- Experience with aircraft maintenance tooling and calibration programs
- Experience conducting physical inventory counts
- Experience supporting wall-to-wall inventory audits
- Familiarity with FAA maintenance and tool-control requirements
- Experience using airline or MRO inventory management systems
Security Requirements
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
- Must meet all requirements necessary to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
- Must maintain eligibility for airport and airline security access throughout the assignment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to frequently bend, reach and stoop
- Ability to move throughout the work area
- Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment as required
- Ability to work safely around aircraft, ground support equipment and maintenance activities
Work Environment
This position is based at an airline maintenance operation at Denver International Airport.
Work may be performed in a tool room, warehouse, maintenance facility or other operational areas supporting aircraft maintenance. The role requires accuracy, accountability and timely support in a fast-paced aviation environment.
