STS Technical Services is hiring Assemblers in Liberty, Missouri.
This full-time manufacturing role is responsible for safely assembling equipment using mechanical, electrical and manual tools while following detailed work instructions, blueprints and production requirements.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with hand and power tools, assembling mechanical components and maintaining consistent quality in a fast-paced production environment.
Position Overview
The Assembler will build equipment by installing parts, wiring, hoses, hydraulic components and accessories according to established instructions and specifications.
This position requires attention to detail, safe tool operation and the ability to work across multiple assembly areas as production needs change.
Responsibilities
- Assemble parts, wiring, hoses and hydraulic components
- Use power tools and manual assembly techniques
- Install product accessories including decals, mud flaps, cameras and lights
- Safely operate overhead cranes to position parts
- Use hand tools including wrenches and hammers
- Operate pneumatic tools and torque guns
- Measure components accurately using tape measures
- Drill and tap holes for wiring, hoses and small components
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Follow Standard Work Instructions
- Identify required product options from technical documentation
- Lift and stack subassemblies and parts
- Cross-train and work in multiple assembly areas as needed
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Maintain attention to detail and established quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow company safety requirements and 6S standards
Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required by production demands
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable onsite attendance
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to safely use hand, pneumatic and power tools
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or production environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Six or more months of manufacturing or general labor experience
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sustain pushing or pulling up to 30 pounds
- Ability to bend, kneel and climb as required
- Ability to safely use tools and production equipment
- Ability to work around loud noise, dust and moving machinery
- Ability to work in environments with temperature fluctuations
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for safe equipment operation and workplace communication
