STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanics in Lake Charles, Louisiana to support aircraft maintenance and structural repair operations. This role is well suited for hands-on aviation professionals who value precision, safety, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accomplish all work assigned in accordance with company policies, procedures, manufacturer manuals, and Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Properly sign, record, and assume responsibility for all work performed as outlined in the Repair Station Manual
  • Own and maintain a basic set of standard and metric aircraft tooling appropriate for the assigned shop or work area
  • Properly and efficiently use all company tools, parts, equipment, and materials
  • Provide detailed shift turnover reports when work continues to the following shift
  • Remain current with maintenance manual revisions, policy changes, and rules regarding general conduct
  • Maintain awareness of unsafe or hazardous practices that could endanger personnel or aircraft
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area including personal and shop equipment
  • Immediately notify the Shop Lead or designee of aircraft irregularities, major discrepancies, schedule delays, record discrepancies, or emergencies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand aircraft drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
  • Motivated self-starter capable of maintaining an efficient work pace
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to travel, including international travel, as required
  • Ability to work overtime as operational needs require
  • Willingness to relocate to Lake Charles, Louisiana
  • Three to five years of aircraft sheet metal repair experience preferred but not required
  • Willing and able to obtain a passport and visa as required
