Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic

STS Aviation Services are rapidly growing and we are looking for an Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic to be part of our journey as the leading UK MRO. If you want to be part of the next chapter of our journey playing a key role at our Newquay Hangar, then we’d love to hear from you.

Applicants MUST either be Citizens of the United Kingdom, or must currently have a valid work Authorisation for working in the UK, with at least 2 years remaining until its Expiration Date.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Removal of major aircraft structural sections, whilst stress jacked.
• Working to fine tolerances and high standards.
• Upholding high standards of housekeeping.
• Adhering to company and manufacturers procedures.
• Implementing modifications from drawings and procedures.

Skills and Abilities

• Completed aircraft engineering apprenticeship, production or live aircraft.
• Ideally 5 years live aircraft and structures experience.
• Demonstratable experience in aircraft modification/production environment.
• Experience of implementing and carrying out aircraft component modifications.
• Experienced and capable of reading manufacturers drawings and SRMs.
• Excellent hand skills.
• Takes full ownership and responsibility for own tasks.
• Good organisational skills.
• Good communicator.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
