STS Aviation Services is rapidly growing, and we are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team at the Manchester Hangar. As the leading UK MRO, we are excited to welcome you to be a part of the next chapter in our journey.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely supply of all materials for relevant projects, while maintaining minimum stock levels of consumables across the business.
• Competitively purchase equipment, components, tooling, and other items as directed.
• Ensure purchased items conform to the relevant aviation standards and design specifications.
• Order consumables for the Structures, Avionics, Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, and Commercial departments.
• Source and engage with third-party suppliers for bought-in services.
• Provide up-to-date feedback on prices and supply capabilities to ensure accurate ‘Latest Indicated Costs’ (LIC) budgets for each project.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to achieve the best value in terms of price, delivery time, and quality.
• Update purchase orders and requests for services.

Skills and Experience

• Previous purchasing experience is essential.
• Familiarity with various purchasing and manufacturing systems.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good understanding of RFQs (Requests for Quotations) and POs (Purchase Orders).
• Ability to manage suppliers effectively to achieve the best prices and practices.
