Health, Safety & Environment Officer

STS Aviation Services is rapidly growing, and we are looking for a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team at the Manchester Hangar. As the leading UK MRO, we are excited to welcome you to be a part of the next chapter in our journey.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support and advise STS Aviation Services UK Ltd. on Health and Safety at all UK locations.
• Monitor standards, processes, communications, training, and systems to ensure compliance with Health and Safety responsibilities.
• Ensure a safe workplace environment without health risks.
• Collaborate with HSE Managers to meet statutory obligations related to health, safety, and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
• Conduct regular reviews of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations with Managers.
• Document, investigate, and recommend improvements for all accidents.
• Ensure proper reporting of safety inspections, fire drills, fire alarms, risk assessments, and lone working procedures.
• Assist in delivering health & safety policies, systems of work, and procedures.
• Maintain full and accurate health and safety and training records.
• Stay updated with relevant health, safety, and welfare at work legislation and communicate changes to the business.
• Participate in monthly meetings to report on relevant health & safety matters for STS Aviation Services UK Ltd.

Skills and Experience

• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
• Professional approach with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others to complete tasks and implement process improvements.
• Skilled in gathering, analyzing, and reporting on key H&S data/statistics.
• Proficient in IT, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
