Maintenance Utility Employee

STS Line Maintenance is hiring a Maintenance Utility Employee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to support seasonal aircraft maintenance operations during a winter charter program.

This is a part-time, on-call opportunity designed for a dependable candidate who lives near the airport, has a flexible schedule and can respond quickly when called. An FAA A&P license is not required.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Utility Employee supports customer personnel and STS Line Maintenance technicians within the secured airport environment.

Primary responsibilities include escorting customer personnel to and from aircraft, remaining with them while maintenance work is performed, assisting STS technicians with maintenance-related tasks and retrieving aircraft parts or equipment when requested.

This position operates in a 24/7/365 airport environment and requires availability for nights, weekends and holidays. When called into work, employees will receive a minimum of four hours of pay for services rendered.

Responsibilities

• Escort customer personnel within secured areas of the airport
• Pick up and transport customer personnel to and from assigned aircraft
• Remain with customer personnel while they are working within secured airport areas
• Support customer needs during aircraft maintenance visits
• Operate a company vehicle when performing escort duties
• Assist STS aircraft maintenance technicians with maintenance-related tasks
• Retrieve and deliver aircraft parts and equipment when requested
• Support winter charter operations involving Boeing 737-800 aircraft
• Follow all airport, company and safety requirements

Qualifications

• GED required
• Minimum age of 21
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record with no MVR issues within the past three years
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge with driving privileges
• Ability to obtain a Customs seal
• Reliable personal transportation to and from work
• Strong communication skills
• Safety-conscious approach to work
• Self-motivated and dependable
• Ability to respond with a sense of urgency when called
• Strong customer service focus
• Ability to work an on-call schedule
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as required
• FAA A&P license is not required

Work Environment

• Work is performed primarily outdoors on the airport ramp
• Employees may work in varying weather conditions
• Position operates within a 24/7/365 airport environment
