Materials Supply Chain Support Specialist

STS Technical Services is hiring a Materials Supply Chain Support Specialist in York, Pennsylvania. This role is built for professionals who understand supply chain operations, can manage inbound material issues, and communicate clearly across teams to keep production moving.

Position Summary

As a Materials Supply Chain Support Specialist, you will support daily supply chain operations by managing material flow, resolving shipment discrepancies, and maintaining accurate inventory and system data. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials arrive correctly, are properly documented, and remain aligned with operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipment exceptions for materials arriving at the dock and coordinate with Supply Chain Operations and suppliers to identify, track, and resolve issues
• Understand labeling specifications and their relationship to ASN submissions within SAP
• Participate in corrective action activities including supplier communication, internal coordination, audits, and process improvement efforts
• Communicate clearly through written and verbal channels to explain processes and identify areas for improvement
• Maintain working knowledge of standard operating procedures and SAP system processes
• Issue cycle counts and review results, taking corrective action as needed
• Verify part status, including current versus obsolete items, during annual obsolescence reviews

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in supply chain, logistics, or materials management environments
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
