STS Technical Services is hiring an MRO Planner in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

This role supports a growing manufacturing operation producing UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for electrical distribution and control equipment.

The MRO Planner will coordinate maintenance, repair and overhaul activities to reduce equipment downtime, improve resource utilization and help ensure maintenance work is completed safely and on schedule.

Position Overview

The MRO Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the manufacturing operation.

This position works closely with maintenance teams, production personnel, vendors and other departments to align maintenance requirements with operational needs while maintaining accurate records, supporting audits and improving maintenance performance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities
  • Coordinate corrective maintenance work
  • Align maintenance schedules with production and operational requirements
  • Help minimize equipment downtime
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel, production teams and other departments
  • Monitor resource usage and support efficient resource allocation
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste
  • Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing repair orders
  • Verify repair orders meet applicable standards
  • Communicate with vendors regarding order status
  • Coordinate shipment details and maintenance scheduling with vendors
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends
  • Prepare reports to support operational decision-making
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable safety requirements
  • Support environmental and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain maintenance records for critical assets
  • Organize records for internal and external audits
  • Identify potential maintenance issues and support corrective solutions
  • Support improvements to maintenance planning and execution

Qualifications

  • Understanding of maintenance processes
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and repair procedures
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance activities
  • Experience coordinating resources and work schedules
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with maintenance teams and vendors
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify potential issues and implement practical solutions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
