STS Technical Services is hiring a Senior Human Resources Manager in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This is a leadership role for someone who can operate at both altitude and ground level.
You will partner with leadership, shape workforce strategy, and still stay close enough to the work to impact hiring, culture, and performance in real time.
Position Overview
The Senior Human Resources Manager will serve as a key member of the leadership team, acting as both a strategic partner and hands-on leader across a family of companies.
This role is responsible for driving HR strategy while actively supporting day-to-day operations including employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruiting, and training and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and assist in all aspects of HR programs and services that contribute to establishing and executing strategies and plans for a family of six companies.
- Partner strategically and tactically with hiring managers and HR team members to execute high-growth recruitment strategies, performance management, and HR initiatives.
- Coach managers and provide guidance on employee relations and corrective action.
- Consult with corporate leaders and branch managers on organizational structure, roles, responsibilities, and staffing levels.
- Coach and advise managers and supervisors at all levels, delivering timely and constructive feedback to strengthen leadership effectiveness.
- Partner with leadership to maintain a work environment that keeps employees engaged and aligned to company objectives.
- Manage employee development strategy, allocate resources effectively, and anticipate organizational needs.
- Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and programs while ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Communicate, manage, and administer benefits and compensation plans.
- Work with leadership to develop and maintain development plans for key personnel.
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to be onsite 5 days a week
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of federal and state labor and employment laws
- Experience implementing and leading high-growth recruitment strategies
- Experience working across all levels of an organization in a multi-site environment
- Experience managing HR functions in a shift-based environment preferred
- Ability to travel to site locations and events as needed
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Experience: 7+ years of Human Resources experience
- Certifications: SHRM or HRCI accreditation preferred
Technology and Systems
- Experience working within an HRIS system, Paylocity preferred
- Intermediate experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
