
STS Technical Services is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Controller for a direct hire opportunity with a U.S.-based commercial airline in Denver, Colorado. This full-time role offers relocation assistance and places you at the center of real-time aircraft maintenance decision making.
Position Overview
As a Maintenance Controller, you will oversee daily aircraft maintenance activities, provide real-time technical guidance, and coordinate across departments to ensure aircraft readiness, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role is critical to maintaining smooth and efficient flight operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct and support aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
- Provide real-time troubleshooting and technical guidance to line maintenance teams
- Authorize MEL and CDL deferrals and determine appropriate repair actions
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, and the System Operations Center to manage out-of-service aircraft
- Route aircraft to support operational and maintenance requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation related to delays, cancellations, and mechanical discrepancies
- Log shift activity and ensure clear communication during shift handovers
- Maintain awareness of fleet-wide mechanical readiness at all times
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and accountability in every maintenance decision
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
- Minimum five years of line maintenance experience or a combination of line, heavy maintenance, and avionics troubleshooting experience
- Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance control procedures
- Clear and effective communication and decision-making skills
- Completion of Maintenance Training Required Inspection Item course (Vol. D) required post-hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years of line maintenance experience on Airbus A319 or A320 family aircraft
- Previous Maintenance Control or Maintenance Coordination Center experience
- FCC First Class Radio Telephone Certificate
Compensation and Benefits
- Union position with starting pay of $52.00 per hour
