Technical Illustrator

Position Overview

As an Airline Program Technical Administrator, you will support maintenance program administration for a major commercial airline. You will help review and resolve over-and-above maintenance fees, warranty denials, vendor disputes, and technical maintenance issues while keeping internal stakeholders informed and aligned.

This is a highly visible role that requires aviation maintenance knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage open items through completion without losing the thread.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with internal maintenance and operational teams to review, track, and resolve over and above maintenance fees
  • Partner with cross functional teams to address and close open warranty denials and maintenance disputes
  • Lead and participate in recurring review meetings, document action items, and ensure timely follow up on open issues
  • Coordinate directly with vendors and repair organizations to resolve disputes accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare status updates, reports, and communications for various internal departments and leadership teams
  • Escalate unresolved issues or high risk items to senior leadership as necessary
  • Support maintenance program administration and technical operations activities for a major airline operation

Qualifications

  • Active Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
  • Strong understanding of airline maintenance practices and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
  • Experience interpreting and working within airline maintenance manuals, policies, and procedures
  • Minimum of 5 years of Line Maintenance experience required
  • Heavy maintenance experience, including C Check and component experience, strongly preferred
  • Excellent Airbus systems knowledge with demonstrated troubleshooting capability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Vendor Management teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
