STS Line Maintenance is hiring an Aviation Material Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to lead aircraft parts, materials, tooling and warehouse operations.

This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, warehouse performance, team leadership and the movement of aviation materials throughout the distribution process. The Aviation Material Manager will also oversee inventory activity in Trax, support shipping and customer service functions, maintain staffing and training requirements, and help improve inventory processes and operating procedures.

Position Overview

The Aviation Material Manager is responsible for the overall integrity and accuracy of physical inventory, including aircraft parts, materials and tooling.

This position oversees physical inventory and cycle count processes, monitors inventory movement through Trax, manages warehouse personnel and works with internal and external stakeholders to improve efficiency and reduce inventory variances.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and control aircraft parts, materials and tooling moving into and out of the warehouse
  • Manage inventory transactions and activity using Trax software
  • Plan, execute and reconcile physical inventories
  • Manage cycle count processes and investigate inventory variances
  • Maintain inventory accuracy throughout the distribution process
  • Manage and collaborate with warehouse and inventory personnel
  • Build and support a team of warehouse professionals focused on meeting customer expectations
  • Report inventory findings, performance data and operational information to upper management
  • Create, understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures
  • Recommend process and SOP improvements as operational needs change
  • Draft or support revisions to Standard Operating Procedures as required
  • Coordinate customer material shipments
  • Enter shipping information into customer computer systems
  • Resolve routine shipping and warehouse issues
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment as required
  • Perform equipment inspections
  • Support customer service functions including order entry and reporting
  • Maintain operational metrics
  • Maintain a safe, clean and professional work environment
  • Support stockroom and Point-of-Use inventory locations
  • Work independently while providing coverage at one or multiple customer locations
  • Ensure employee training requirements remain current
  • Maintain required customer staffing and operational coverage
  • Perform payroll and scheduling activities as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three to four years of managerial experience
  • At least two years of warehouse, supply chain or distribution experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage inventory processes and warehouse operations
  • Ability to lead and support warehouse personnel
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Trax software systems
  • Supply chain education or equivalent relevant work experience
