STS Technical Services is hiring an M88A2 Field Service Technician in Fort Cavazos, Texas.

This role is built for an experienced tracked vehicle mechanic who knows military maintenance environments, understands recovery vehicle platforms and can troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues in the field.

You will support maintenance operations on the M88A1/A2 Recovery Vehicle platform by performing diagnostics, repairs, technical assistance and documentation while working closely with military personnel and field service teams.

Position Summary

The M88A2 Field Service Technician will provide field maintenance support on the M88A1/A2 Recovery Vehicle platform. This position supports military maintenance operations by performing field-level troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs and technical assistance on tracked combat and recovery vehicles.

Travel may be required based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field-level maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on M88A1/A2 vehicles and similar tracked combat vehicles.
  • Assist military personnel with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and vehicle system issues using applicable technical manuals and procedures.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and maintenance documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations for repairs and corrective actions.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and reports using computer-based systems.
  • Support maintenance assistance teams while working closely with military personnel and field service representatives.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, quality and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4 to 8+ years of experience performing maintenance and troubleshooting on M88 family vehicles or similar U.S. Army tracked combat vehicle platforms.
  • Strong understanding of tracked vehicle operation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Proficiency with computer-based systems for data entry, reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including mentoring other mechanics when required.
  • Ability to analyse complex technical problems and provide sound recommendations.
  • Prior military service candidates must have an Honorable Discharge.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and Common Access Card.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.

  • Recovery School graduate.
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Prior military experience in maintenance-related MOSs such as 91H, 91M, 91A or 91B.

Position Summary

What You’ll Do:
