Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and vehicle computer systems.
  • Perform routine inspections, diagnostic checks, and post-repair evaluations on trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other vehicles.
  • Maintain and service equipment, keeping detailed service records.
  • Repair and adjust air brake systems to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Examine and adjust safety devices and components on all vehicles.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Change tires, align wheels, and perform other required vehicle services.
  • Work on various vehicle components, including headlights, heaters, windshield wipers, belts, seats, windows, air valves, and more.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
  • Document work hours, parts used, and services performed.

Qualifications:

  • Basic experience or knowledge in general vehicle maintenance.
  • Experience with diesel engines and heavy truck systems is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Computer knowledge (experience with work order systems is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot with precision.
