
STS Technical Services is hiring an Inventory Specialist in Brookfield, Wisconsin, to support inventory control and material movement within a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment.
This full-time, first-shift position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, completing physical and ERP system transactions, supporting production needs and coordinating with Purchasing, Scheduling, Quality, Shipping, Receiving and Accounting.
Position Overview
The Inventory Specialist maintains, transfers and coordinates inventory for assigned manufacturing operations. This position manages inventory transactions both physically and within the ERP system while maintaining inventory accuracy, traceability and integrity.
The Inventory Specialist will also monitor material availability, investigate discrepancies and help improve inventory control processes.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Receive, locate and transfer inventory for stock and assembly locations
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Scheduling and Quality to maintain inventory levels
- Help ensure materials are available to support consistent production
- Maintain lot and batch traceability for raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods
- Ensure materials are received, stored and issued according to FIFO, FEFO and company inventory control procedures
- Support Quality and Production during audits, recalls, investigations and customer traceability requests
- Prioritize material movement based on changing production requirements
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system
- Process order receipts, material location transfers and inventory reconciliation transactions
- Monitor inventory availability and communicate material shortages
- Identify inventory excess and obsolete materials
- Generate and analyze inventory reports
- Investigate inventory discrepancies
- Assist with the development and improvement of inventory control procedures
- Maintain compliance with company policies and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles
- Knowledge of cycle counting and warehouse operations
- Knowledge of lot control and material traceability processes
- Experience working with ERP or MRP systems
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment or obtain the required certification
Preferred Qualifications
- At least three years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Epicor ERP
