STS Aviation Services is seeking a Logistics Operative to support aircraft maintenance operations at its Birmingham facility. This role is responsible for the movement, storage, and control of aircraft parts, tools, and materials within a regulated MRO environment.
You will play a direct role in keeping maintenance operations moving by ensuring parts are received, tracked, and issued with precision. Accuracy matters here. So does speed.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and book in aircraft parts and materials in line with company and regulatory requirements
- Pick, pack, and issue components to support maintenance activities with full traceability
- Maintain stock control through cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
- Ensure all documentation, including certification and trace records, is complete and compliant with aviation standards
- Safely handle, store, and transport materials, including hazardous goods when required
- Support shipping and dispatch activities, including packaging and coordination with carriers
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with HSE standards
- Use ERP and inventory systems to track stock movements and transactions
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to support operational needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain required
- Aviation or MRO experience preferred
- Understanding of aviation parts and regulatory requirements such as EASA or CAA is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
- Good IT skills, including experience with inventory or ERP systems
- Forklift licence is desirable but not essential
Working Hours
- Rotating shift pattern including day and night shifts
- Overtime may be required based on operational needs

- Must be eligible to work in a regulated aviation environment, including background checks where applicable
