STS Engine Services is hiring an experienced Management Accountant to join our team in Stansted. This is a hands-on, full-cycle accounting role with broad responsibility across reporting, analysis, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to lead financial operations in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Balance sheet recs: bank recs, accruals etc
  • Posting journals in relation to these recs
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts pack
  • Presentation of the management accounts to the Senior Leadership Team
  • AR receipts and posting
  • Aged debt, credit control
  • Debtors cashflow
  • AP invoice approvals
  • VAT returns
  • Full ownership of audit requests and statutory accounts requests
  • Assistance with the P11D processing
  • Payroll posting
  • Review of budgets to actuals
  • Accounts reviews, GL postings analysis, miss postings etc
  • Assistance with budgeting, forecasts
  • Assistance with onsite ad hoc finance requests – e.g. utility/energy usage
  • Project, customer, sales stream profitability reviewing and reporting

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar all-round Finance role is essential, aviation experience is a bonus but not essential.
  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Practice experience preferred
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with care and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience of using financial management software (ideally Sage Line 50).
  • Highly numerate with an analytical mindset.
  • Experience working with and between different currencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Used to working confidentially and with integrity.
  • Must be flexible and willing to assist where required due to business requirements.
  • Present and behave in ways that are appropriate to the image and reputation of the business, its products and services.

STS Engine Services is hiring a Workshop Assistant to join our team in Stansted, Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced jet engine maintenance environment supporting global aviation operations. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Purpose

To assist in the day-to-day operations of a busy jet engine workshop and provide proactive, efficient support to ensure high-quality service delivery. The position demands a flexible approach, a hands-on attitude, and strong multitasking abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily workshop operations and general site activities as directed by Workshop Management
  • Assist in the movement, loading, and unloading of aircraft engines, components, and tooling as required
  • Aid in engine close-up and dispatch procedures under Workshop Manager direction
  • Support waste control and disposal in compliance with company and environmental regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
  • Perform site cleaning tasks when required, ensuring workshop and storage areas remain tidy and functional
  • Deliver a high standard of service for both internal and external customers
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Drive company vehicles including forklifts, towing equipment, and road vehicles as necessary
  • Provide support to the stores department during peak periods or when covering holidays and absences (training provided)
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as instructed by senior management

Skills and Experience

  • Computer literate (training on company systems provided if needed)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Flexible and willing to work across all operational areas within STS Engine Services
  • Strong team player with a proactive and adaptable attitude
  • Previous experience in a busy workshop or industrial environment preferred; aviation experience is a plus
  • Capable of identifying issues, performing corrective actions, and proposing solutions
  • Full UK Driving Licence required
  • Forklift Licence preferred (training available if not held)

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks within the workshop in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support the efficient turnaround of engine shop inputs, ensuring customer expectations and company objectives are met
  • Follow approved technical documentation (ESM, CMM, SRM, IPC) to carry out all maintenance tasks to the highest standard
  • Assist with near-wing and on-wing field support, as required
  • Adhere to company Health & Safety policies, fostering a safe and compliant work environment
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in all tasks to reduce turnaround times while upholding quality
  • Identify technical issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions
  • Work collaboratively with team leaders, workshop managers, and cross-functional teams to meet operational goals

Skills & Experience Required

  • Time-served aerospace industry apprenticeship with a minimum of two years’ post-apprenticeship experience
  • Previous company approval on at least one of the engine types listed above
  • Hands-on experience in a busy engine shop, working on engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul
  • Familiarity with engine shop manuals and regulatory standards, including relevant ATA chapters
  • Understanding of Part 145 and FAA regulations
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Borescope inspection experience is desirable
  • Current Human Factors training, EWIS Level 1 & 2, and Fuel Tank Safety Level 1 & 2 preferred (training can be provided)
  • Forklift license is desirable (training can be arranged)

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Quotes & Invoicing Administrator to join our growing Commercial Team. This position plays a vital role in preparing accurate quotations and invoices for engine repair and maintenance projects while coordinating with Customer Services, Technical Planning, Workshop, and Finance teams.

The successful candidate will help ensure work is properly planned, delivered on time, and aligned with customer requirements. This role also supports the company’s commercial strategy through data-driven analysis of margins, performance, and profitability.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare customer quotes for requested work using established or contracted pricing in collaboration with the Technical Team
  • Create and manage work orders in ProMRO
  • Liaise with the Customer Services Team to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and communicated internally
  • Contribute to a best-in-class customer experience as a key member of the Commercial Team
  • Monitor and review work orders for accuracy and progress, implementing adjustments when required
  • Create accurate and timely invoices for all assigned work orders
  • Develop and maintain customer and management reporting tools
  • Provide data analysis on sales and profitability to support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with Technical Teams to align customer requirements with work order content
  • Liaise with customers to ensure all paperwork and documentation are complete
  • Participate in project implementations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify issues, propose corrective actions, and support process improvements
  • Maintain professionalism, integrity, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Support senior management as required with additional duties and tasks
