STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Structures Technicians in Fort Worth, Texas, to perform structural repairs, fabricate aircraft parts and complete installations in accordance with approved technical data.

This position is designed for technicians with hands-on aircraft structures experience who can read blueprints, follow Structural Repair Manual requirements and engineering dispositions, fabricate parts and complete structural repairs to established standards and tolerances.

Position Overview

The Aircraft Structures Technician performs structural repairs and fabrication work on aircraft and components. This role follows FAA-approved repair and modification procedures, OEM technical data, aircraft drawings and work package instructions.

Technicians will install and repair structural components, complete required documentation and work with Quality Assurance to support inspection and recertification requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft structural repairs and part fabrication
  • Complete repairs in accordance with aircraft Structural Repair Manuals and engineering dispositions
  • Follow approved repair and modification procedures
  • Use FAA-approved internal procedures, OEM technical data and work package instructions
  • Position and align subassemblies in jigs and fixtures
  • Use measuring instruments, blueprint lines and index points to verify proper alignment
  • Inspect completed work and identify required rework before sign-off
  • Ensure repaired components meet specified standards and tolerances
  • Perform serviceability tests using equipment specified in applicable technical manuals
  • Complete required work package documentation and sign-offs
  • Submit completed and in-progress work to Quality Assurance for inspection and recertification of airworthiness
  • Install bolts, screws, rivets and other fasteners used to assemble and support components
  • Cut, trim and file parts in preparation for installation
  • Verify fitting tolerances
  • Drill aircraft structures and subassemblies
  • Install brackets, hinges, clips and related structural components
  • Inspect installed units, parts and equipment for fit, performance and compliance
  • Install structural assemblies according to blueprints and specifications
  • Use hand tools and power tools during repair and installation activities
  • Locate and mark reference points and installation holes using jigs, templates and measuring instruments
  • Provide information and documentation for engineering requests
  • Follow Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual procedures
  • Follow company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Aircraft structures experience
  • At least two years of experience preferred
  • Ability to use technical data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and complete repairs
  • Ability to fabricate aircraft parts
  • Ability to read work orders, blueprints and specifications
  • Ability to determine structural repair and fabrication procedures
  • Ability to determine the proper sequence of repair operations
  • Experience repairing aircraft bodies or structures according to specifications
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their use and maintenance
  • Proficiency using air-powered hand tools and related equipment
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality control requirements
  • Ability to identify bolts, screws, rivets and other aircraft fasteners
  • Ability to work safely while following OSHA, EPA, state and federal requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts when required
  • Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to wear a respirator in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 when required
  • Ability to participate in FAA-required random drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors

A&P Technicians

STS Technical Services is hiring experienced A&P Technicians in Fort Worth, Texas, to support aircraft maintenance, repair, inspection and testing operations.

This role is designed for FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant professionals with hands-on general aviation or small aircraft maintenance experience. The A&P Technician will inspect, repair, assemble and test aircraft systems and components while following FAA-approved procedures, manufacturer specifications and work package instructions.

Position Overview

The A&P Technician performs routine inspections, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and component testing on aircraft mechanical systems and assemblies.

Work may involve engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plumbing, rigging, flight controls, pumps, valves, fuel and oil systems, structural components and other aircraft equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and special maintenance to help prevent aircraft mechanical system and component failures
  • Perform operational checks on hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, plumbing, precision assemblies, rigging and controls
  • Determine whether components should be repaired or replaced
  • Identify required repair methods, parts and materials
  • Obtain necessary parts from Stores or departmental supplies
  • Repair, rework and modify worn or defective aircraft assemblies
  • Follow FAA-approved maintenance procedures and applicable OEM technical data
  • Follow work package instructions throughout maintenance and repair activities
  • Consult the Maintenance Lead when technical assistance is required
  • Inspect completed work before sign-off and identify any required rework
  • Ensure repaired components meet applicable standards and tolerances
  • Perform serviceability testing using OEM-specified test equipment
  • Complete work package documentation and required sign-offs
  • Submit completed and in-progress work to the Maintenance Lead for review
  • Submit work to Quality Assurance for inspection and recertification of airworthiness
  • Provide operational and performance information to supervisors as requested
  • Accurately account for time and materials used during maintenance and inspection activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
  • Two to five years of experience working with small aircraft or general aviation aircraft
  • Training and demonstrated proficiency on at least one aircraft type
  • Recent depot-level aircraft maintenance and repair experience
  • Experience repairing mechanical systems and components
  • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Experience with aircraft plumbing, rigging and related mechanical systems
  • Ability to interpret OEM technical data and work package instructions
  • Experience using power and pneumatic hand tools
  • Knowledge of FAA aircraft maintenance requirements
  • Ability to inspect and install aircraft parts and components
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain aircraft equipment
  • Knowledge of machines, tools and maintenance practices
  • Ability to perform moderately complex technical assignments
  • Ability to support advanced-level technicians on more complex assignments

STS Technical Services is hiring Helicopter Structures Technicians in Fort Worth, Texas. Position Overview

We’re looking for skilled technicians with 2–3 years of hands-on experience performing structural repairs and modifications on any of the following airframes:

  • Airbus: AS350, EC130, EC135, EC145
  • Bell: 206, 407, 429, 412, 505
  • Agusta: 109, 119, 139, 169

You’ll perform detailed repair work, fabrication, and installation of components and skins to ensure each aircraft meets safety and performance standards.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety regulations and procedures while performing work
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, manuals, and specifications to determine layout requirements
  • Mark outlines or patterns on materials using measuring instruments and scribes
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and punch and drill presses to cut, bend, block, form, punch, drill, or otherwise shape parts to specifications
  • Operate soldering equipment to join sheet metal parts
  • Smooth edges and surfaces of grooves or joints using hand tools, power tools, files, or chemicals
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and tolerances using precision measuring instruments
  • Provide accurate diagnoses and repair of structural discrepancies noted
  • Install structural fittings such as bulkheads, formers, stringers, ribs, frames, and other components
  • Install insulation materials such as fiberglass or polyurethane using hand or power tools
  • Repair dents, cracks, or other damage to the aircraft’s skin using appropriate hand tools
  • Repair holes in aircraft skins using patch materials such as aluminum, composite materials, or plastic materials such as fiberglass cloth or synthetic resin materials
  • Install, repair, and replace aircraft skins, structural components, and interior furnishings such as insulation, carpeting, vinyl flooring, soundproofing materials, seats, paneling, and paint
  • Install interior and exterior trim such as windows, doors, bulkheads, wall panels, ceilings, flooring, and staircases

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of helicopter structural repair experience
  • Hands-on experience with Airbus, Bell, or Agusta airframes
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, forming, and riveting techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Experience with both interior and exterior structural installations and repairs
