STS Technical Services is hiring experienced AOG Travel Mechanics to support aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting operations for a leading aviation client. This is a highly mobile role, ideal for seasoned professionals who are ready to travel, adapt quickly, and solve complex technical issues on transport-category aircraft.

Position Summary

As an AOG Travel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft at both base and remote locations. You’ll work independently or alongside contracted personnel to ensure safety, compliance, and on-time aircraft recovery. You will also support the development of junior mechanics while playing a key role in coordinating materials and repair strategies for each shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair technical discrepancies on company aircraft
  • Perform inspections in accordance with company and FAA procedures
  • Utilize electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools to identify system faults
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical orders
  • Maintain and inspect company tooling and equipment
  • Communicate directly with Maintenance Control regarding discrepancies and resolutions
  • Ensure all aircraft documentation is completed accurately and in compliance
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level and contract mechanics
  • Coordinate materials, tools, and shift-wide repair activities
  • Conduct manual and aircraft parts inventories as needed
  • Assist other departments to ensure timely aircraft departures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of aircraft maintenance experience on transport-category aircraft
  • Boeing 737, 747-400, 747-800, and 777 Gen Fam training (preferred)
  • RII authorization and unrestricted engine run qualification on Boeing aircraft
  • Bore scope certification on CFM, Pratt & Whitney, or GE-90 engines
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
  • Formal systems/avionics training on Boeing platforms
  • Valid passport and the ability to travel regularly for AOG support

  • Strong troubleshooting and technical repair skills
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital maintenance manuals
  • Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Physically capable of lifting parts and working in variable weather conditions
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Tank Tigers is hiring Aircraft Fuel Systems Maintenance Supervisors to join our team in Jamaica, New York. We’re looking for experienced professionals who are FAA-certified and have the technical knowledge to lead complex maintenance operations. Position Overview

The Aircraft Fuel Systems Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing aircraft fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration tasks. You will supervise a team of technicians, provide on-the-job training, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations, internal procedures, and customer specifications. This role requires hands-on leadership and a deep understanding of fuel system maintenance within confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise aircraft fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration tasks
  • Ensure maintenance work is performed in accordance with 14 CFR Part 145.153 and other applicable FAA regulations
  • Provide direct oversight to technicians unfamiliar with specific tasks, ensuring proper training and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with confined space entry procedures and safety protocols
  • Ensure continuity and documentation of maintenance activities during shift transitions
  • Verify that appropriate tools, technical data, and equipment are used for all assigned work
  • Provide expert consultation and guidance to maintenance personnel during tasks
  • Monitor the accuracy and completion of maintenance records, tags, and forms
  • Document and forward all on-the-job training records to the Training Department
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies
  • Ensure customer-supplied parts are processed correctly and meet requirements
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately while remaining accountable for team performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager

Required Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) required
  • Minimum of 4 years of direct experience with aircraft fuel system maintenance
  • Must meet qualifications outlined in RSM Section 4.6.9
  • Must be qualified per 14 CFR Part 145.153 for supervisory duties
  • Ability to work flexible hours and in confined spaces
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, fuel system practices, and maintenance documentation

Preferred Skills

  • Proven ability to train and supervise technicians
  • Experience leading teams in FAA Part 145 Repair Station environments
  • Teaching or instructional experience related to aircraft maintenance
