STS Technical Services is hiring VFR Helicopter Pilots in Livingston, Texas.

Position Summary

STS Technical Services is seeking experienced VFR Helicopter Pilots to support air medical transport operations in Livingston, Texas. This is a mission-critical role operating under CAMTS guidelines, where precision, discipline, and fast decision-making directly impact patient outcomes.

You will fly day and night missions in a 24-hour operational environment, supporting emergency medical response with a focus on safety, efficiency, and service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual
  • Conduct safe and efficient VFR and NVG air medical missions
  • Support patient and equipment loading and unloading as required
  • Participate in Safety Management System initiatives, including Destination Zero
  • Provide professional, reliable service to internal teams and external customers
  • Participate in community outreach programs and represent the organization in the field

Operational Details

  • Aircraft: Bell 407
  • Operations: VFR and NVG
  • Instrument rating required
  • 24-hour operations with rotating day and night schedules

Qualifications

  • Commercial Helicopter Rating required
  • Instrument Helicopter Rating required
  • First Class Medical Certificate required
  • Minimum flight experience:
    • 2,000 total flight hours
    • 1,500 helicopter hours
    • 1,000 Pilot-in-Command helicopter hours
    • 500 turbine helicopter hours
  • Night operations experience:
    • 100 hours unaided, or
    • 50 hours unaided plus 100 hours NVG
  • Must meet company weight restriction of 235 pounds or less
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Interview and acceptance by PHI management
  • Ability to pass a physical exam, including lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Drug screening and background check required

Schedule

  • 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
  • Schedule adjustments may be required based on operational needs

Additional Information

  • Aircraft transition training may require a minimum one-year service commitment
  • Relocation assistance available with potential service commitment
  • Off-duty housing provided at base

STS Technical Services is hiring Senior A&P Helicopter Mechanics in Livingston, Texas. This is a mission-driven opportunity supporting helicopter operations tied to life-saving work, with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000.

Position Overview

The Senior A&P Helicopter Mechanic is responsible for maintaining aircraft airworthiness, supporting daily maintenance operations, and ensuring aircraft readiness in a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate daily maintenance and inspection needs to ensure aircraft airworthiness
  • Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual conditions affecting schedules, aircraft availability, manpower, or technical support
  • Oversee maintenance of assigned aircraft at field bases
  • Monitor stock levels and request required parts
  • Maintain safety and security of company assets at field locations
  • Prepare and certify maintenance documentation, logs, inspection forms, and reports in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards
  • Complete entries in maintenance software systems, including work packages, removals, installations, and aircraft status updates
  • Maintain regular communication with Lead Mechanic and operational personnel to ensure timely task completion
  • Manage parts inventory and recommend adjustments as needed
  • Maintain and track calibration of company-issued tools
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified aircraft mechanic
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to pass physical exam, functional capacity assessment, drug screening, and background check

Additional Requirements for Roving Maintenance Technicians

  • Sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to travel frequently, including short notice assignments
  • Ability to work night shifts as required
