Conducts general HR and compliance duties, assists and coordinates with HR benefits.

Summary / Objective

This position conducts general HR duties, including maintain handbooks, policies and procedures, HRIS management, recruiting staff, onboarding employees and employee relations matters. This position implements local HR functions and supports corporate HR functions as needed. The HR Generalist & Compliance Coordinator also ensures plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and plan provisions are followed. Implements compliance functions under guidance of compliance director.

Educational Background / Experience

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business or HR not required
  • PHR / SHRM certification required
  • 3+ years of HR Experience required
  • PHR / SHRM certification preferred

General Responsibilities

  • HR point of contact for STS Aviation Services US division.
  • Perform staff recruitment activities, interview and evaluate candidates for select positions. Maintain related records. New employee processing and onboarding process. Conduct new-employee orientations ensure employees gain an understanding of company policies, benefits, and benefit enrollment provisions.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment period during 4th quarter of each year. Assist with distribution of plan summary materials and required notices, assist with communicating changes to employees and arrange for onsite representation by providers.
  • Complete reports for management as requested.
  • Act as a resource for payroll/HR contacts to ensure their understanding and compliance with benefits and HR policies and regulations.
  • Keep management advised of potential problem areas and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate.
  • Point of contact for employee relations matters. Responsible for conducting workplace investigations.
  • Assist with writing, revising, editing and proofreading company policies and procedures and related documents as needed.
  • Perform outreach to community sources as needed and develop/maintain skillset pipeline with community organizations.
  • Complete Random Drug Testing as well as Post-Accident and Reasonable Suspicion Testing as extension of STSAG Compliance Department.
  • Coordinating out-processing of terminating employees, exit interviews and internal submission of termination forms.
  • Coordinating return of all Company property.
  • Issued a company cell phone and responsible for 24/7 availability.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of HR.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of analytical, clerical, and decision-making functions that necessary to assure the proper day-to-day operations of the Planning Department package preparations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years experience in aviation related field and/or work, or the demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Position Duties:

  • Controls and coordinates job cards. Uses work packages, specifications, technical data, job control cards, labor-hour estimates, job descriptions, project categories, charge numbers, and material requirements needed to meet established schedules.
  • Identifies problem areas. Informs supervisory personnel.
  • Performs general clerical duties, to include setting up files, reproducing paperwork, and entering and collecting computerized data.
  • Audits completed work cards. Projects data to show effects of complete and/or incomplete work.
  • Gather blueprints, maintenance manual references, and technical data to accompany job cards.
  • Loads customers work scope into the company’s computer systems.
  • Creates barcodes to allow for labor and materials to be assigned to the individual task.
  • Ability to cover the Monitor position as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors necessary for the normal day to day operation, not determined at time of hire.

Junior Compliance Engineer

In this role, you will create and maintain production flow plans for modifications and heavy maintenance to ensure all maintenance schedules are met.   • Analyze maintenance data for production statistics such as man-hours needed, man-hours used, delivery timelines, and causes of delays

  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on interior assemblies and subassemblies such as seats, cabinets, panels, partitions, divan, and In-flight entertainment equipment.
  • Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed while following appropriate clean-as-you go shop practices.
  • May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions
  • Follows approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
  • Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before signing off; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Performs serviceability tests utilizing test equipment specified in technical manuals.
  • Completes work package documentation per FAA and/or repair station manual.
  • Submits completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and certification of airworthiness.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A&P and mechanical / electrical experience a plus
  • Structures experience a plus.

Experience:

  • Generally 1-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Requiring Basic Skills to perform basic tasks within the Technical Area assigned to in area of responsibility with assembly, mechanical, electrical or aircraft structures as well as able to use all tech data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.

  • Be proficient in the usage of air powered hand tools and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Ability to work different shifts and flexible hours if required.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.

Education Requirements:

Experience Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of professional administrative experience, preferably in aviation or aerospace
  • Familiarity with contract documentation, customer communications, and invoice processes
