IFR Helicopter Pilot (EC135 Captain)

STS Technical Services is hiring IFR Pilots to serve as EC135 Captains in Palestine, Texas. This is an opportunity to join a life-saving aviation team supporting air medical transport operations with a strong focus on safety, precision and operational excellence.

Qualified pilots will fly critical care missions under CAMTS guidelines while operating in SPIFR and NVG environments. This role includes a sign-on bonus up to $50,000, off-duty housing and a 7&7 schedule.

Position Overview

The IFR Pilot EC135 Captain will perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual while safely conducting day and night air medical missions. This role supports 24-hour operations with rotating day and night shifts and requires professionalism, sound judgment and a commitment to patient, crew and community safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual
  • Safely conduct day and night air medical missions
  • Assist with loading and unloading patients and medical equipment as required
  • Support Safety Management System initiatives and safety campaigns

  • Provide professional and courteous service to internal and external customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Commercial Helicopter Rating
  • Instrument Helicopter Rating
  • First Class Medical Certificate
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated internal and external customer service skills
  • Must meet flight personnel weight restriction of 235 lbs. or less

CAMTS Minimum Flight Time Requirements

  • 2,000 total flight hours
  • 1,500 helicopter hours
  • 1,000 PIC helicopter hours
  • 500 turbine helicopter hours
  • 100 hours unaided night or 50 hours unaided night plus 100 hours NVG
  • 75 hours instrument time, actual and hood

Screening Requirements

Candidates must be able to pass:

  • Pre-placement physical and functional capacity exam, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Drug screening and background check
  • Interview and acceptance by management

Annual flu vaccine is not required.

Schedule and Location Requirements

  • Location: Palestine, Texas
  • Schedule: 7&7
  • Day of week the base changes schedules, and schedule change may be required
  • Off-duty housing provided

Senior Helicopter A&P Mechanic

STS Technical Services is hiring a Senior Helicopter A&P Mechanic in Palestine, Texas. This is a high-impact aviation role supporting critical air medical operations. Qualified candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.

If you are an experienced FAA-certified A&P Mechanic with helicopter maintenance experience and strong troubleshooting skills, this opportunity allows you to support aircraft that operate on life-saving missions every day.

Position Overview

The Senior Helicopter A&P Mechanic is responsible for maintaining aircraft airworthiness and ensuring mission readiness at all times. This role supports daily inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, parts management, documentation, and coordination with maintenance leadership.

This position requires technical expertise, accountability, and the ability to operate in a high-responsibility aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily maintenance and inspection requirements to maintain aircraft airworthiness
  • Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule adjustments, aircraft changes, additional manpower, or technical support
  • Oversee maintenance activities at assigned field bases
  • Monitor stock levels and requisition parts as necessary
  • Ensure safety and security of company assets at assigned locations
  • Prepare reports, requisitions, inventories, and certify aircraft logs and inspection forms in compliance with FAA and manufacturer requirements
  • Complete maintenance records and system entries accurately
  • Maintain communication with the Lead Mechanic, AMBS, and relevant personnel to ensure timely task completion
  • Manage parts inventory and recommend level adjustments
  • Maintain company-provided tools and ensure proper calibration schedules
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified aircraft mechanic
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in airframe and powerplant systems
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Ability to pass pre-placement physical exam, drug screening, and background check
  • For roving maintenance team members, sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting experience required
  • Ability to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice
  • Ability to work night shifts as required

Schedule & Location

  • 7 and 7 schedule
  • Must live within one hour or 60 miles of the assigned base
  • Travel between bases required
