STS Technical Services is hiring Painters in Springtown, Texas, to support industrial painting and finishing operations in a manufacturing environment.

This hands-on role is responsible for applying primers, paints and protective coatings using electrostatic, air-assist and other automotive-style painting equipment. The Painter will also prepare surfaces, mix coatings, maintain paint equipment and inspect finished work to ensure quality requirements are met.

Position Overview

The Painter applies paint and coatings to manufactured products while supporting surface preparation, equipment maintenance and finishing operations.

This position requires previous automotive, industrial or heavy equipment painting experience, strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely with paint equipment, chemicals and required respiratory protection.

Responsibilities

  • Apply primer, paint and touch-up coatings using spray equipment and brushes
  • Mask and unmask parts according to specifications
  • Prepare surfaces through sanding, washing and conditioning
  • Perform light bodywork when required
  • Disassemble, clean and maintain painting equipment
  • Maintain pumps, heaters, tanks, spray guns and related equipment
  • Flush tanks and paint lines during color changes
  • Mix paints to achieve required color accuracy, viscosity and consistency
  • Perform titrations and adjust chemicals as required for paint and related processes
  • Apply decals, stencils and rust-proofing as required
  • Inspect work before, during and after painting
  • Perform coating thickness and gloss checks
  • Transport parts and materials using tuggers, forklifts, overhead cranes or manual carts
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least six months of painting experience in an automotive, industrial or heavy equipment environment
  • Strong math skills
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to wear a respirator
  • Ability to pass a Pulmonary Function Test
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required by production demands
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of painting experience in a manufacturing or body shop environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor issues

This position is responsible for safely assembling mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components using detailed work instructions, blueprints, schematics and a variety of hand and power tools. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented and comfortable working across multiple assembly areas as production needs change.

Position Overview

The Mechanic assembles equipment and components according to instructions provided by Supervisors and Group Leaders.

Assemblies vary in size and configuration and may require mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and manual assembly work. This role also supports accessory installation, drilling and tapping, overhead crane operation and general production activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts, wires, hoses and hydraulic components using power tools and manual assembly techniques
  • Install equipment accessories including decals, mud flaps, cameras and lights
  • Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools including wrenches, hammers and torque guns
  • Measure materials and components accurately using tape measures and related tools
  • Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses and small components
  • Read schematics, blueprints and Standard Work Instructions to identify required options
  • Lift and stack subassemblies and parts weighing up to 35 pounds independently
  • Participate in team lifts for parts weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Cross-train and work in multiple assembly areas as required
  • Follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Maintain attention to detail and established quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Follow company safety requirements and 6S standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required by production demands
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least six months of experience in manufacturing or general labor

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and stack parts and subassemblies weighing up to 35 pounds independently
  • Ability to participate in team lifts up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to safely use hand, pneumatic and power tools

STS Technical Services is hiring Paint Prep professionals in Springtown, Texas, to support manufacturing and finishing operations.

This hands-on role is responsible for preparing parts for the painting process through sanding, masking, plugging, cleaning and inspection. The Paint Prep Technician will also support part handling, quality checks and material movement while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Position Overview

The Paint Prep I prepares components for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, plugging and inspecting parts before they enter the paint process.

This position also removes excess water and debris from components, uses overhead hoists to position parts and inspects finished work to help ensure production and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Wipe, sand and inspect parts prior to painting
  • Prepare components for paint repair
  • Plug and mask parts before the painting process
  • Remove excess water and debris from cavities within parts
  • Operate overhead hoists to hang parts for painting
  • Inspect finished parts for production and quality requirements
  • Assist with identifying and addressing root causes of paint defects
  • Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts or tuggers
  • Label, stock and record materials and supplies as needed
  • Support inventory activities when required
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow established safety procedures and 6S standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
