This role is responsible for planning, preparing and controlling engine maintenance work scopes while ensuring the required technical data, tooling, materials and documentation are in place before work begins.

Position Details

Position Overview

The Technical Planner supports aircraft engine maintenance inductions from initial work-scope review through completion and closure.

This position works closely with Workshop Management and internal stakeholders to ensure maintenance requirements are accurately captured, properly resourced and completed in accordance with customer, organisational and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan aircraft engine maintenance inductions in accordance with the capacity plan and customer requirements
  • Review customer work scopes and prepare maintenance work packs
  • Identify required tooling, equipment, materials, consumables and components before engine induction
  • Liaise with Workshop Management to review manpower requirements
  • Review competency and certification requirements for planned maintenance activity
  • Identify resource constraints that may affect scheduled engine inductions
  • Support updates to the Capacity Plan
  • Help maintain complete visibility of planned maintenance activity
  • Support the review and closure of completed maintenance work packs
  • Ensure completed work packs are processed in accordance with organisational procedures
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding planned inputs
  • Communicate work-scope changes, additional findings and customer requirements
  • Ensure planning activities comply with applicable company procedures
  • Maintain compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties reasonably requested by the Management Team and consistent with the responsibilities of the role

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience within aircraft maintenance, engine MRO or an equivalent aviation maintenance environment
  • Previous maintenance or production planning experience
  • Good understanding of Part-145 maintenance organisation requirements
  • Familiarity with CAA, FAA and EASA requirements
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple maintenance inputs simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Methodical approach to technical documentation and document control
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced maintenance environment
  • Ability to respond to changing operational priorities

Position Overview

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a proactive and solutions-focused HR service aligned with business priorities

Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification, current progression towards CIPD Level 5 or a relevant HR-related degree
  • Experience working within an HR function at Adviser level or as an experienced HR Administrator
  • Demonstrable experience managing HR projects or people-related initiatives
  • Confidence providing managers with guidance on straightforward employee relations matters
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy across HR documentation, records and reporting

Job Purpose

The Stores Operative will assist in the day-to-day operations of a busy Stores department while providing a proactive and efficient service. The role requires a flexible approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while supporting aircraft engine maintenance operations.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in the day-to-day running of Stores
  • Pick and issue parts and consumables
  • Book tooling in and out, with attention to calibrated items
  • Ensure correct material handling and storage conditions are maintained in line with regulatory standards and Company procedures
  • Control the shelf-life expiry list
  • Perform periodic stock checks
  • Process unserviceable parts into stock or scrap
  • Control and dispose of waste products in line with Company and environmental requirements
  • Accept and offload deliveries
  • Dispatch parts for return, repair or transfer to suppliers or customers
  • Assist with the loading or offloading of aircraft engines and stands, if required
  • Keep a clean and tidy working environment

  • Perform physical inspection of parts
  • Validate accompanying paperwork in line with regulatory standards and Company procedures

  • Maintain awareness of Suspected Unapproved Parts controls and guidance

Skills & Experience

  • Computer literate
  • Training will be provided on the company computer system where needed
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Full clean UK driving licence required
  • Previous experience working in a busy aviation stores department would be desirable
  • Experience with goods inwards processes or inspections in an aviation stores environment would be desirable
  • Forklift licence would be desirable
  • Forklift training will be provided where needed

Job Overview

  • Work on various maintenance and repair workscopes as part of day-to-day workshop operations
  • Support effective turnaround of engine shop inputs while meeting company objectives
  • Work with the wider team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Meet and maintain the standards set by the business and regulatory authorities
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant manuals
  • Conduct all tasks in a timely and accurate manner to help keep turnaround times to a minimum

  • Assist with the implementation of company directives and strategies that support continued business growth

  • Knowledge of engine shop manuals and associated manuals, including relevant ATA chapters
  • Awareness of Part 145 and FAA regulations
  • Previously held company approval on at least one of the engine types listed above
  • Borescope Inspection experience is desirable
  • Current Human Factors training, EWIS Level 1 and 2 and Fuel Tank Safety Level 1 and 2 would be an advantage, but training can be provided
  • Must be flexible and willing to move between work areas within STS Engine Services as required
  • Must be able to follow Technical Instructions from ESM, CMM, SRM, IPC and other relevant technical documentation
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be able to identify problems, undertake corrective action or propose alternative methods and systems to improve output, improve quality or overcome functional issues
  • Forklift licence is desirable, but training can be provided
