
Tank Tigers, an STS Aviation Group Company, is hiring Aircraft Fuel Cell Technicians (Class C) in Tampa, Florida.
This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in aircraft fuel system maintenance. Working under the direction of experienced supervisors, the Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) will perform fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration tasks in accordance with approved maintenance data and FAA regulations.
Mechanical experience is preferred, but candidates with little to no aviation fuel maintenance experience are encouraged to apply.

Position Summary
The Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) reports to the Facility Supervisor and/or Facility Manager of the company’s FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
This position is responsible for performing assigned fuel tank maintenance activities while following approved maintenance procedures, customer requirements, and company quality standards. Class C Technicians are not assigned management, supervisory, inspection, or maintenance release responsibilities and are not required to hold certification under 14 CFR Part 65.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned aircraft fuel tank maintenance tasks in accordance with approved maintenance manuals and procedures
- Complete preventive maintenance and alteration tasks as assigned
- Ensure maintenance activities are performed in the proper sequence and in accordance with customer requirements
- Request required inspections in an orderly and timely manner
- Ensure tools and test equipment used to determine airworthiness are properly identified and current
- Request stock and materials needed to complete assigned work
- Accurately record maintenance performed using the appropriate maintenance records and required documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Remain knowledgeable of applicable FAA regulations, including FAR Parts 43 and 145
- Become familiar with the company’s Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual
- Record on-the-job training (OJT) for assigned tasks
- Immediately report unsafe procedures, practices, or conditions to supervision
- Work safely in confined spaces and aircraft fuel tank environments as required
- Maintain a flexible schedule to support operational requirements
Qualifications
- Ability to understand and perform aircraft fuel system maintenance with training
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow technical instructions and approved maintenance procedures
- Ability to work safely in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Experience
- Entry-level position requiring zero to two years of aviation fuel maintenance experience
- Mechanical experience is preferred
