A&P Mechanic (Rotary)

STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Mechanics (Rotary) in Fort Worth, Texas. Position Overview

We’re looking for skilled A&P Mechanics with a minimum of 3 years of experience working on one or more of the following airframes:

  • Airbus: AS350, EC130, EC135, EC145
  • Bell: 206, 407, 429, 412, 505
  • Agusta: 109, 119, 139, 169

This role is ideal for technicians who take pride in detail, safety, and the satisfaction that comes from ensuring rotorcraft are ready for safe, reliable flight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safety-first focus in all maintenance activities, ensuring rotorcraft are in a condition for safe operation
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy to identify and correct defects or problems early during production or installation
  • Ensure consistent product and service quality while maintaining high safety standards to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Read and interpret Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Alert Service Bulletins (ASBs), Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICAs), and other approved/acceptable data as required
  • Apply practical experience with the procedures, practices, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment used in constructing, maintaining, or altering airframes and powerplants (familiarity with Track and Balance equipment is desired)
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and management to prevent maintenance delays and AOG situations
  • Complete all required documentation thoroughly, including parts removed/replaced, precision measuring equipment, and calibration data
  • Perform all work to FAA and company standards within established timeframes
  • Work independently when required with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining rotary-wing aircraft
  • Hands-on experience with Airbus, Bell, or Agusta airframes
  • Strong understanding of FAA documentation and compliance standards
  • Familiarity with maintenance tracking and recordkeeping systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Dedication to quality, safety, and operational excellence

Pay Range: $90,000 – $110,000

STS Technical Services is hiring a Chief Aircraft Inspector in Houston, Texas. This position requires an experienced aviation maintenance professional with a valid Inspection Authorization (IA) and a proven record of ensuring compliance, quality, and safety in all aspects of aircraft inspection and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update all technical data for articles maintained or altered by the Repair Station, ensuring the latest revisions are secured and accessible
  • Perform detailed inspections of aircraft systems, equipment, and components for conformity to FAA, NAVAIR, and company standards
  • Oversee the installation, repair, and operation of electrical wiring, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and emergency systems
  • Inspect and verify structural and electrical repairs or modifications in accordance with maintenance Technical Orders (T.O.), TCTOs, work orders, and structural repair manuals
  • Maintain the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and Training Manual
  • Perform receiving inspections for incoming raw materials and purchased parts
  • Conduct inspections on machined parts, welds, and electrical assemblies
  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
  • Apply shop mathematics and analytical skills to inspection and repair work

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in corporate aviation as an A&P Mechanic
  • Valid Inspection Authorization (IA) required
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations and compliance procedures
  • Skilled in using inspection tools, measuring devices, mirrors, and flashlights
  • Physically able to climb, kneel, stoop, and stand for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills

STS Technical Services is hiring Lead A&P Mechanics in Waco, Texas to support a full-service MRO specializing in aircraft maintenance and modification programs. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced, certificated mechanic who’s ready to guide a team, ensure compliance, and deliver top-quality results on every project.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to assigned maintenance teams.
  • Distribute work cards and directives as assigned by the Line Supervisor or Program Manager.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance work while overseeing the quality and efficiency of team members.
  • Ensure all parts and components are properly tagged, identified, and stored.
  • Verify that work is signed, stamped, and completed by properly certificated personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to FAA regulations, company policies, and quality procedures.
  • Conduct On-the-Job Training (OJT) and maintain accurate OJT documentation.
  • Communicate with the Program Manager regarding work progress, parts, and tooling requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Report any procedural or compliance deficiencies to Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Supervise and guide non-certificated personnel performing maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate or Repairman Certificate under FAR Part 65.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Aircraft Technician.
  • Minimum 2 years in a Lead Mechanic or Supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in Systems or Interiors work.
  • Experience with Boeing 767, 747, 737 and/or Airbus A330, A340 platforms preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical data accurately.
