STS Technical Services is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in Wentzville, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining long-range plans for the improvement of maintenance activities while providing technical assistance to the manufacturing departments supported. This position oversees personnel, materials, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations in support of SPQRC initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement and actively support corporate safety policies, initiatives, and plant housekeeping standards
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and initiate immediate and long-term corrections
- Support plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost goals
- Supervise construction and maintenance projects
- Assist in the implementation of divisional and corporate policies
- Maintain schedule and quality requirements
- Implement safety and good housekeeping standards
- Train, develop, and evaluate employees
- Comply with Local and National Labor agreements while supporting divisional and corporate policies
- Initiate contact with internal and external teams when required to solve problems
- Implement planned maintenance activities
- Complete work assignments within budget, manpower, and timing constraints
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance operations
Skills & Qualifications
- Willingness to work any assigned shift, including daily, weekend, and holiday overtime as required
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts
- Experience in machine assembly and/or facility maintenance
- Knowledge of safe industrial work environments
- Proficiency in basic math, including trigonometry
- Skilled in clerical work, data gathering, and machine studies
- Experience supervising a multi-trade workforce
- Strong knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, and assembly processes
- Completion of behavior-based competency assessments (DDI inventories and assessments)
- High analytical ability for solving complex problems
- Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and work effectively with others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Lotus Notes or other email communication tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
- Trained in skilled trades or equivalent technical training
- 10 years of experience required
