Position Summary

The Line Station Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations at the Syracuse line station while also performing hands on aircraft maintenance duties. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to maintain operational standards while ensuring aircraft are serviced safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have extensive line maintenance experience, proven management capability, and the technical expertise required to support a busy commercial aviation environment.

Position Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of five years line maintenance experience
  • Must have a minimum of three years management experience
  • Must have A&P License
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
  • Must be self motivated
  • As a working station manager you will be required to have good time management skills
  • Must have excellent communication and people skills
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety
  • Must have problem solving and organizational skills
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Power Point, and preferably KRONOS time keeping system
  • Must be able to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals, GMM’s and AMM’s
  • Must be able to qualify on the various aircraft worked at the station through GENFAM completions and air carrier training
  • Must be able to perform all line maintenance functions unsupervised
  • Must own and provide a minimum set of hand tools
  • Must be willing to work shift work and rotate between nights and days
  • Must be able to input and approve aircraft work orders in computer system IAW all applicable policies
  • Must be able to create work schedules for employees to cover station air carrier requirements without building OT into the schedule
  • Must be able to complete quality, safety, and maintenance related documents for STS and air carriers as required
  • Must be able to train and assist technicians as required with all aspects of their position
  • Must have a clean MVR
  • Must hold a valid Driver License
  • Must not be under a doctor’s care with limited work restrictions
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain all necessary badging
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and work stands unassisted
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently in confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Must be willing to work in an environment subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels

Pay & Benefits

Rate of pay is determined by previous experience and will range from $95,000 to $100,000 annually. Performance bonuses are also available.

A&P Mechanics

STS Line Maintenance is hiring experienced A&P Mechanics to support line maintenance operations in Syracuse, New York (SYR).

This role supports the daily maintenance needs of our airline customers and plays a critical part in delivering safe, reliable, and on time aircraft service.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Report directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads
  • Work closely with field airlines, flight crews, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers
  • Ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment
  • Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and technical documentation
  • Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required
  • Perform additional duties as deemed necessary
  • Work outdoors and in inclement weather as required
  • Perform maintenance on Commercial and Large Regional aircraft including Airbus A320, CRJ, and Embraer 170 platforms

Ideal Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

  • Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no history of infractions
  • Recent A&P experience on turbine powered aircraft preferred
  • Own set of standard line maintenance tools with calibrated and specialty tooling provided
  • Self motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to stand, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted with or without accommodations
  • Ability to pass background check and drug and alcohol screening
  • Ability to obtain Customs and Border Patrol clearance
