STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Maintenance Controllers for a direct hire opportunity with a U.S.-based commercial airline in Denver, Colorado. This full-time position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and the chance to play a central role in aircraft maintenance operations.

Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Controller, you’ll oversee daily aircraft maintenance activities, provide real-time technical support, and coordinate with key departments to ensure aircraft readiness and operational safety. This role is essential to keeping flight operations smooth, compliant, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and support maintenance activities in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting and technical guidance to line maintenance teams
  • Authorize MEL/CDL deferrals and determine required repair actions
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, and the SOC to manage out-of-service aircraft
  • Route aircraft to meet operational and maintenance needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation for delays, cancellations, and discrepancies
  • Log shift activity and ensure clear handoffs between shifts
  • Maintain awareness of the entire fleet’s mechanical readiness
  • Promote safety, compliance, and accountability in every maintenance decision

Required Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
  • Minimum of 5 years of Line Maintenance experience or a combination of line, heavy maintenance, and avionics troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance control procedures
  • Clear, effective communication and decision-making skills
  • Completion of Maintenance Training Required Inspection Item course (Vol.D) required post-hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Airbus A319/A320 family aircraft
  • Previous Maintenance Control or Maintenance Coordination Center (MCC) experience
  • FCC First Class Radio Telephone Certificate

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $48.68 per hour, plus overtime potential

This opportunity offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and eligibility for a 10% annual performance bonus.

Position Overview:

As Maintenance Control Manager, you will lead a team of Maintenance Controllers, drive operational excellence, and serve as the central point of contact for maintenance-related decision-making during assigned shifts. You’ll work closely with maintenance, engineering, operations, and procurement teams to ensure compliance and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support Maintenance Control operations during assigned shifts
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and internal procedures
  • Manage MEL/CDL/NEF authorization and control processes
  • Assign tasks, approve overtime, and make operational decisions as needed
  • Coordinate communication between departments on all maintenance issues
  • Manage department scheduling, vacation approvals, absences, and payroll
  • Maintain accurate documentation of One Time On-Call maintenance actions
  • Review and correct data entries in FMIS and other tracking systems
  • Conduct internal audits and drive continuous improvement efforts
  • Support reliability reporting and participate in performance meetings
  • Administer and monitor team metrics, training, and performance reviews

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
  • Minimum 5 years of combined Line and/or Heavy Maintenance experience
  • Minimum 2 years in a Maintenance Control position
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a maintenance environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree
  • FCC Radio License
  • Experience with Airbus A320 family aircraft
  • Familiarity with FMIS and airline maintenance tracking systems
