Position Summary:

STS Aviation Services is seeking qualified A&P Lead technicians, to join our overhaul and repair station in Melbourne, FL.    These are direct full time positions, and are predominately working on the Airbus Aircraft.

Qualifications:

  • 4 years minimum experience working as an A&P Technician, maintaining Commercial and/or large regional aircraft.  Comparable military experience is acceptable.
  • 2 years minimum experience, working as a Lead A&P Technician or Supervisor
  • Valid A&P license is required
  • Must be willing and able to work whatever shift and schedule is required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain an airport license

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Driver License.
  • Must not be under a doctor’s care with limited work restrictions.

STS Technical Services is hiring an A&P Hangar-Based Fixed Wing / Helicopter Aviation Maintenance Technician to support an industry-leading air medical transport program in Show Low, Arizona. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, inspection, modification, and repair on airframes, rotors, propellers, engines, and appliances
  • Coordinate with the Lead Maintenance Technician to plan and schedule work
  • Communicate with flight crews to ensure aircraft readiness and operational safety
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and parts usage
  • Manage calibrated tools, equipment inspections, and documentation
  • Maintain base facilities and equipment in compliance with company standards
  • Ensure adherence to FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, and safety procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
  • Minimum of 3 years of turbine rotorcraft or fixed-wing maintenance experience
  • Strong understanding of FARs and maintenance documentation procedures
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) and/or Part 135 experience preferred
  • Experience with Pilatus PC-12 or Bell-407 aircraft a major advantage

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Stand, walk, kneel, climb, and bend for extended periods
  • Work safely in both indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and noise levels

Job Description:

Examines, repairs, assembles, and tests aircraft accessories, such as engines, power brake units, auxiliary electric motors, carburetors, spark igniters, valves, pumps, fuselage, wings, and oil and fuel tanks, using hand tools and testing devices, and following shop orders and manufacturer’s specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine inspections or special maintenance to prevent failures of aircraft mechanical systems and components; performs complete operations checks on hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, plumbing, precision assemblies, rigging and controls, etc.
  • Determines when a component should be repaired or replaced; decides upon necessary repair scheme, quantity and type of parts needed to accomplish proper repair; secures necessary parts from Stores or departmental supplies.
  • Repairs, reworks, and modifies worn or defective assemblies, making alterations or changes to units when necessary.
  • Follows approved maintenance procedures for subject component or system, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Consults the Maintenance Lead if technical assistance is needed during the repair process.
  • Inspects completed work before sign off to identify any needed rework; performs rework; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Performs serviceability tests on repaired components/systems using test equipment specified by the original equipment manufacturer.
  • Completes work package documentation by signing/stamping after finishing all designated operations.
  • Submits completed/in-progress work to Maintenance Lead for review; submits to Quality Assurance for final/in-progress inspection and re-certification of airworthiness.
  • Provides supervisor with performance statistics and other operational data, as requested.
  • Properly accounts for time and materials used in all inspection and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School/ GED
  • A&P

Experience:

  • Required: A & P License; minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience with small aircraft/ general aviation trained in one aircraft type; proficient and demonstrated skill with the aircraft.
  • Several years or actual and recent depot level aircraft maintenance and repair experience is required, (repair of mechanical systems, components, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, rigging etc.); proficiency with interpretation of original equipment manufacturer’s technical data or work package instructions; experience using power or pneumatic hand tools.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Assignments require Standard Knowledge of a Technical Area.
  • Rapid learning and application of new information and concepts within the Technical Area begins to take place at this level.
  • Performs moderately complex Technical Assignments.
  • Assists Advanced Level Technicians on more complex technical assignments.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repairs and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
  • Skilled with repairing, troubleshooting, installing and equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of FAA requirements for aircraft maintenance procedures
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend manufacturer and FAA approved work package instructions; ability to inspect and install parts/components.

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 “Respirator Protection” regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
  • Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
  • Ability to obtain a SIDA badge may be a requirement for this position

STS Engine Services is hiring an experienced Aircraft Component Mechanic / Certifier to join its growing aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operation in Stansted, Essex, United Kingdom.

This position offers an opportunity to work within an established Part-145 maintenance organisation, initially focusing on fan cowl hold open rods while supporting the development of additional component maintenance capabilities.

The successful candidate will bring practical aircraft component maintenance experience, strong inspection skills and a thorough understanding of approved maintenance procedures, regulatory compliance and component certification requirements.

Position Overview

The Aircraft Component Mechanic / Certifier will perform maintenance, repair, overhaul and inspection activities on aircraft components within a workshop environment.

Responsibilities include component disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, reassembly and functional testing. The position also involves inspecting components throughout the maintenance process, certifying completed maintenance and issuing certificates of release to service within the individual’s granted certification privileges.

All work must comply with approved maintenance data, the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), applicable Part-145 requirements and established safety and quality procedures.

The role requires flexibility, sound technical judgement and a willingness to support colleagues as operational requirements evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft component disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, reassembly and functional testing in accordance with approved maintenance data and the current work scope
  • Carry out visual and dimensional inspections using appropriate calibrated equipment
  • Identify, document and report component defects, discrepancies and non-conformities
  • Inspect components throughout the maintenance and repair process
  • Verify that all required maintenance activities, inspections, independent checks and records are complete before exercising certification privileges
  • Certify completed maintenance and issue certificates of release to service within granted certification privileges
  • Complete work cards, inspection documentation and functional test records accurately
  • Maintain component identification and traceability throughout the maintenance process
  • Interpret and follow Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), technical instructions and approved maintenance procedures
  • Support the controlled development of C7 component maintenance capability
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, audits and workshop process improvements
  • Use workshop tools and equipment correctly and in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
  • Follow company Health and Safety requirements and Human Factors procedures
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support other workshop activities as operational requirements change

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant aerospace apprenticeship or technical training
  • Minimum of two years of aeronautical experience in aviation maintenance, including at least 12 months of practical experience in the relevant component maintenance area or workshop
  • Practical experience in aircraft component disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly and testing appropriate to the proposed component rating, product range and certifying scope
  • Ability to interpret and follow Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and engineering drawings
  • Ability to follow approved repair schemes
  • Working knowledge of Part-145 requirements relating to aircraft component maintenance
  • Familiarity with UK CAA, EASA and FAA regulatory requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound technical judgement and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to identify technical problems and implement or recommend appropriate corrective actions
  • Ability to work independently within assigned authority
