Position Summary:

STS Line Maintenance is looking for highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Professionals to help us grow our line maintenance station in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The A&P Aviation Maintenance Technician supports the daily needs of the maintenance operations for our customers and ensures an outstanding experience by providing top-level service.

Position Overview:

  • This position reports directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads. Candidate will work in close partnership with the field airlines, flight crew and other Aircraft Maintenance Controllers.
  • The candidate will ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies and best practices.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust and repair different transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity.
  • Adjust, repair or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks and other technical documentation.
  • Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required.
  • Other duties as may be deemed necessary.
  • Able to work outdoors and in inclement weather as required.
  • Work will be performed on various Commercial and Large Regional aircraft, including but not limited to the Airbus A320, CRJ, and Embraer 170.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications  (A&P) with no history of infractions.
  • Recent A&P experience on turbine powered aircraft considered a plus.
  • Previous experience on the A320 family, 737, Embraer 170/190, CRJ 200/700/900 is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Own set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated & specialty tooling will be provided).
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude while being able to perform your job with minimal supervision.
  • With or without accommodations, employees must be able to work standing, climb ladders and stairs and must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to pass background check as well as drug & alcohol test. In addition, he / she must be able to obtain customs & border patrol clearance.
  • Must have basic-to-mid-level computer & organizational skills.
  • Experience working under a FAA approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 experience is highly desired.
  • Must be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing, or replacing, malfunctioning and/or damaged components.
  • Ability to work with little supervision while being able to trouble shoot and repair systems on aircraft airframes and engine(s). This includes electrical, mechanical and hydraulic.
  • Versatility and flexibility will be important as the schedule could include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Superior customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic with a commitment to excellence.

Rate of Pay:

  • Rate of pay is determined by previous experience and formal training.  Starting pay rates will range between $36-$40 DOE

About the Role

This position maintains responsibility for the technical integrity of completed work and ensures assigned aircraft meet all applicable airworthiness and certification requirements before returning to service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and certify avionics maintenance, modifications, and testing activities in accordance with Part 145 requirements and company procedures
  • Coordinate and oversee avionics work carried out by technicians and supervisors
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved technical data, maintenance documentation, and work instructions
  • Carry out aircraft system testing, fault isolation, and troubleshooting following modification, installation, or repair activities
  • Diagnose and resolve complex aircraft electrical and avionics issues
  • Certify aircraft as airworthy following the successful completion of assigned work
  • Support final acceptance testing and functional checks following aircraft modifications
  • Confirm completed work meets applicable compliance, operational, and airworthiness requirements
  • Review, sign off, and release maintenance work packages in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented, traceable, and compliant with regulatory and company standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to avionics technicians
  • Support quality, efficiency, compliance, and consistent workmanship across assigned avionics activities
  • Assist with developing, reviewing, and implementing processes and procedures within the Quality Management System
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across aircraft maintenance operations
  • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
  • Maintain current knowledge of manufacturer manuals, service bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives applicable to assigned aircraft types

Skills and Experience

  • Valid GCAA or EASA Part 66 B2 Licence
  • Type-rated on one or more of the following aircraft: B777, A350, A320, A380, or B787
  • Multiple aircraft type ratings would be advantageous
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in aircraft maintenance
  • Experience working in both line and base maintenance environments
  • Strong understanding of GCAA regulations, airworthiness requirements, and aircraft certification processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail

Position Summary

The Kitting Coordinator is responsible for supporting aircraft maintenance activity through the accurate management and control of materials, components, tools and kits. Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all material receiving is carried out in full accordance with procedures outlined in the MOE
  • Ensure kits and components used in the hangar are correctly batched and held in approved stores
  • Perform all duties in line with applicable regulatory and company requirements
  • Maintain general housekeeping and safety standards
  • Prepare and verify parts, consumables and kits for the shop floor
  • Check prepared materials against the relevant Kit BOM
  • Promptly report discrepancies, shortages or material concerns
  • Provide logistics support for urgent and high-priority requirements
  • Assist management with additional functions as needed
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities

Position Summary
