Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs of a complex nature on various aircraft systems and components
  • Troubleshoot and function test using manufacturer’s technical documents across multiple airframe, engine, and component systems
  • Lead aircraft projects as directed by the Crew Chief and Supervisor
  • Prepare and complete required maintenance and modification documentation in accordance with FAA Airworthiness Regulations, Elliott Aviation Policies and Processes, FAA Approved Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, and OJT logs
  • Locate and use appropriate technical data to accomplish tasks efficiently and correctly
  • Support, maintain, and comply with all Federal, OSHA, State, and local regulations as well as Elliott Aviation’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Processes
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
  • Must obtain and retain designation as an Elliott Aviation Production Inspector (Blue stamp)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Thorough knowledge of FARs 43, 65, 91, 135, and 145
  • Aircraft maintenance experience preferred

Job Duties:

STS Aviation Services is seeking qualified Lead Aircraft Structure technicians, to join our overhaul and repair station in Melbourne, FL. These are direct full time positions, and are predominately working on the Airbus A320 and CRJ Aircraft.

Qualifications:

  • 4 years minimum experience working as an Aircraft Sheet Metal technician, maintaining and repairing Commercial and/or large regional aircraft.  Comparable military experience is acceptable.
  • 2 years minimum experience, working as a Lead Aircraft Structures Technician or Supervisor
  • Valid A&P license is required
  • Must be willing and able to work whatever shift and schedule is required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain an airport license

  • Must hold a valid Driver License.
  • Must not be under a doctor’s care with limited work restrictions.
